00:00Heartfelt thanks go out to the 116 victims of the Christine typhoon.

00:06This is based on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council or NDRRMC.

00:11Most of the victims are from Calabarzon and Bicol Region.

00:15One hundred and thirty-eight people were injured and lost.

00:20In the agriculture sector, the amount of land that was hit by the typhoon is around 3.11 billion pesos

00:26according to the Department of Agriculture.

00:28More than 152,000 metric tons of rice were damaged.

00:32More than 6,000 metric tons of other high-value crops were also damaged.

00:39Almost 100,000 tons of rice were also damaged.

00:42And almost 3,000 animals were injured.

00:45According to the DA, more than 541 million pesos worth of rice,

00:50fertilizer and other goods are ready to be given to the affected farmers.

00:56Relief goods were given first to the victims of the Christine typhoon in Nabua, Camarines Sur.

01:06Children and adults were given their own means to get help from the vehicles.

02:12The Christine typhoon hit the town of Agoncillo in Batangas.

02:19The former land and plants are now full of water and debris.

02:24The landslide brought the Christine typhoon on Wednesday.

02:28Because of the landslide, the road that crossed the town of Agoncillo and Laurel was destroyed.

02:34Residents have to continue to go around the town to cross the road.

02:41At the end of the destroyed road, we were able to reach Margarito.

02:45He has been looking for his 74-year-old father, Florencio, for four days.

02:51He went to his house, but there was no sign of him.

02:57When he came back, he was already there.

03:00Every day, he goes around the town just to see his father.

03:04He is now here next to a pond because someone might have fallen.

03:07It's really painful. I told him, even if he dies, we will put him in a good place.

03:13Until now, five people have been lost in the town of Agoncillo, according to the local government.

03:22Here in Barangay Subic, Ilaya, a large land was filled with trees and stones.

04:36This is what the Bilibinwang Elementary School was affected by.

04:40Almost half of the school was covered in mud.

04:46The principal, Gina Ponsalan, called for help in cleaning the school.

04:52What we really need is food, rice, and water.

04:58We still have a lot of barangays without electricity and water.

05:17TROPICAL STORM LEON

05:20Another storm, Tropical Storm Leon, hit the town this October.

05:24Based on the 5 a.m. Bulletin of Hope,

05:26Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 hit the eastern portion of mainland Cagayan,

05:32the eastern portion of Isabela, and the northeastern portion of Catanduanes.

05:36The last storm hit the center of León, 840 kilometers east of Central Luzon.

05:41The strong wind reached 85 kilometers per hour.

05:46In the next few hours, the storm may get stronger and reach the typhoon category.

05:52Despite that, Tropical Storm Leon will sweep our country

05:56and it is expected to landfall in Taiwan on Friday.

05:59Based on the rainfall forecast of Metro Weather,

06:02some parts of northern and southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be affected.

06:06Heavy rains may cause floods and landslides

06:10so be very careful.
