00:05The last sighting of the Lion Typhoon is 590 kilometers east of Tuguegarao, Cagayan.

00:09The typhoon has a wind speed of 130 kilometers per hour.

00:14The chances of the Lion Typhoon becoming a super typhoon are still high

00:17as it approaches Batanes, according to the forecast.

00:20There is also a possibility that the typhoon will land in Batanes

01:02Eastern portion of Albay, and Northeastern portion of Sorsogon.

01:08Wind signal No. 1 also in the Eastern portion of Northern Samar,

01:11and Northern portion of Eastern Samar.

01:14For the next few hours, we expect strong rain with gusts of wind

01:19in the aforementioned areas.

01:21It will be dangerous for any sea vehicles to sail

01:24in the coastal areas of Ilocos Norte, Batanes, Cagayan, along with Babuyan Islands,

01:30Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, along with Quilillo Islands,

01:34Catanduanes, and in the coastal areas of Camarines Norte.

01:39Intense to torrential rains are expected this Tuesday

01:42for the residents of Batanes and Cagayan, along with Babuyan Islands, according to Pag-asa.

01:48It will be heavy rain, so be prepared for possible strong winds,

01:52such as floods and landslides.

01:55Heavy to intense rains are also expected in Ilocos Norte, Apayau,

02:00Occidental Mindoro, and Antique, while moderate to heavy rains

02:04are expected in Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Abra, Calinga, Calamian Islands,

02:33the Department of National Defense has ordered the forced evacuation

02:36of residents in high-risk areas.

02:39The DILG issued a memorandum that should be followed by the LGUs.

02:44With the help of various government agencies,

02:46those in high-risk areas were forced to evacuate

02:49to designated evacuation centers and safe places.

02:53The DILG said that the Directive is important

02:55to avoid disasters during times of calamity.

03:00In the evacuation, the safety of children, senior citizens,

03:04and persons with disabilities is a priority.

03:07Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 125

03:10due to the effects of Hurricane Christine.

04:23According to the City of Desasa Risk Reduction and Management Office,

04:2721 barangays were affected by the storm surge

04:31while 10 barangays were affected by the rain and high tide.

04:36More than 2,000 people were evacuated to evacuation centers

04:40while 11,000 people were affected.
