00:00Rich Fay from Manchester World here. Well, Manchester United somehow lost 2-1 against West Ham in the Premier League.
00:07It was a game that was infuriating for United fans, a controversial last-minute penalty decision that went against them.
00:14But just as frustrating was the finishing on show from Erik Ten Haag's side.
00:19He made three changes from the team that drew a Fenerbahce in midweek.
00:23The club captain, Bruno Fernandes, returned to the side.
00:26There was also recourse for Rasmus Huygens in attack after Casemiro in midfield.
00:32United were by far the better team. They hit the crossbar early on for Alejandro Garnaccio.
00:37The Argentine had a plethora of opportunities for United here at the London Stadium, but was unable to find the back of the net himself.
00:44The most glaring of the misses, though, came in the first half.
00:47Diogo Dalot not only was a miss of the match, but one of the misses of the season.
00:50He raced onto a long ball and that goal there just behind me.
00:53He took the ball around Lukasz Fabianski and then somehow fired wide of the goal.
00:59Not even hit the ball over it, but fired wide. United went in unbelievably nil-nil at half-time.
01:05Lukasz Fabianski had also made one good save to Dan Casemiro's header from a free-kick.
01:10After the break, while West Ham made a triple substitution at half-time, it invigorated them.
01:14They were by far the better team in the second half, but United still had some decent opportunities of their own.
01:21West Ham finally took the lead when former lead winger Somerville slid in at the back post to give his side the lead.
01:27United hit back, though, shortly afterwards.
01:29Substitute Joshua Xherxey headed at goal and Casemiro was at the back post to glance it in and draw United level with only a few minutes left.
01:37United looked like they were about to go on a late surge forward and push for a winner,
01:41but instead it was West Ham who would get one.
01:43Danny Ings collided with Matthijs de Ligt in the box.
01:46Controversially, referee David Coutts did not initially award the penalty.
01:50He was referred to the VAR and after a lengthy call, he somehow awarded the penalty,
01:56overlooking the fact that Danny Ings appeared to have handled the ball in the process.
02:00It really was one of the most baffling, illogical penalty decisions you will ever see, never mind the fact that it was then overturned by VAR.
02:07United have every right to feel frustrated, but they also must be frustrated with themselves,
02:12because they should have put the game to bed far beyond the final minutes of the match.
02:16United could have been 3-0 or 4-0 up at half-time.
02:18It was goalless. They weren't behind twice. They just didn't offer enough in attack.
02:22Eric ten Haag will no doubt be fuming with the officials at full-time, but you must take a look at his forwards as well.
02:28United should have won today. Somehow they didn't.
02:31Not only did they not draw, they somehow lost full-time from the London stadium.
