00:00Manchester United defeated Fulham 1-0 on opening night in the Premier League, thanks to a late goal from debutant Joshua Xherxe.
00:08United were just about valued probably for their win in the end. It was a chaotic and scrappy game, both teams had chances to win it themselves.
00:16In the end though, it was United who did so and got the three points. Xherxe from the bench made the impact, was probably the standout player for United.
00:26Nuswa Maswari made his debut as well, he was the only one of United's new summer signings to start the game and he impressed at right back.
00:35Djogo Dalot started at left back instead. United had paraded their four new summer additions on the Old Trafford pitch ahead of kick-off.
00:44Yoro was on crutches, he is set to be out for around three months. Xherxe and De Ligt both starred from the bench for United.
00:52It was quite a quiet night from the touch, De Ligt coming in for Harry Maguire from the bench. Maguire was an impressive performance from him in defence alongside Lissandra Martinez.
01:03Casemiro as well, an interesting one, very good on the ball, a bit of a liability off it though. He was at the heart of a lot of the good things United did in the first half.
01:12His mobility became an issue in the second. Pogba and Mourinho as well, impressed as he always does in central midfield.
01:19In the end though, United made it difficult for themselves. It was only a few minutes from full-time when they finally got the breakthrough.
01:25A smart move started deep in the Fulham half by Joshua Xherxe. He played it out to the right, made an intelligent move into the box.
01:34He was untracked by the Fulham defence and he cluttered the ball in at the Stratford end. Hopefully, the first of many for him in United's shirt.
