25:34The state-of-the-art technologies, in a nutshell, depict the smooth bilateral relations

25:40existing between Cameroon and Japan over the years. The Minister of Agriculture and Rural

25:47Development, Gabrielle Bairobi, has launched the technical phase of the RISE value chain

25:52development project in Sancho in the West Region. The project is intended to boost RISE

25:57production and make strides towards implementing government's import substitution policy.

26:03Eric Langmuir-Wolfo was at the launch of the project in Sancho in the West Region and now reports.

26:10Cameroon is set to spend over 200 billion francs CFE to import 6,000 tons of RISE every year.

26:18The government has online plans to cap this expenditure and make the country RISE exporter

26:24by 2026. The commitment of the government is to multiply by three the production of the RISE in

26:35our country by 2026 and to give our country the opportunity to become an exporter of RISE in

26:46Africa. The RISE project will reduce any constraints faced by farmers in the RISE

26:51cultivation process. Most of the farmers don't have quality seeds. They rely on the seeds that

26:58they themselves produce. So through the intervention of Iraq, we are going to put

27:04at the disposal of the farmers high-yielding quality seeds for all the period of the project.

27:11It will see the development of close to 7,000 hectares of land for the cultivation,

27:16construction and installation of RISE processing units as well as the rehabilitation of 650

27:23kilometers of farm-to-market roads, rural electrification and the provision of other

27:28social amenities. The African Development Agency in Gyaondi have pledged to carry out projects to

27:35innovate several sports infrastructure in towns of Cameroon. The head of Mission for Urban

27:41Development of the African Development Agency, Nina Haji, was received in audience by the Minister

27:46of Housing and Urban Development, Celestine Kechakoutes. At the close of the audience,

27:51the head of Mission shared what they discussed with pressmen. Take a listen.

27:56It was a really important meeting regarding the level of implementation of Capital Régional in

28:02the five cities of Cameroon and the beginning of the activities of Sport Cap program, which is

28:09really a program focusing on the rehabilitation of sports facilities for people in the neighborhoods

28:16of the different cities. So the program Sport Cap is beginning this year. Really, AFD is really

28:24satisfied with the progress we have seen on the ground in Bafousam this week and also the progress

28:32that we have discussed with the local coordination units of the four other cities.

28:39In Monatélé, two NGOs, the one Action Projet and the other, Agis Notes et Innoves Internationale,

28:47has launched an initiative to provide boreholes with human-powered pumps and latrine blocks.

28:53This game-changing project, valued at 130 million francs, will bring relief to the local population

28:59who often struggle to have drinking water. Angela Mbong is back from Monatélé.

29:09Seven boreholes and five ecological latrines are the infrastructures that will be constructed

29:15in the months ahead to alleviate health concerns and improve the living conditions of the people

29:20of Monatélé in the Lakeye Division. We went abroad and we think that today we have to give back

29:28what our state has done for us. The Council Hall of Monatélé was the venue for the launch of this

29:35life-changing project that saw the attendance of the mayor of the locality and the senior

29:40divisional officer, who in return lauded the developmental initiative. This is an occasion

29:46given to congratulate this association for all that has been done. To have five good toilets,

29:56will enable us to really improve in the hygiene problem that we are facing in our area.

30:06The project, estimated at about 130 million CFA francs, will be realized at the government

30:12secondary school SAR and other neighborhoods of Monatélé. A new set of cyber security agents

30:19in Cameroon are undergoing training in a conference in Yaoundé. The two-day cyber security summit,

30:24which opened today, aims at raising awareness and educating stakeholders in the information

30:30technology sector. The event is organized by an association known in French as

30:34Association pour la Recherche de la Paix et du Développement. Emmanuel Achifouya reports.

30:44The world is now a global village thanks to digital technologies, but like everything with

30:50a flip side, cyber crime is also on a steady rise, creating an urgent need for data security

30:56experts. A two-day cyber security fair has opened in Yaoundé to raise awareness and educate

31:02different stakeholders in the IT industry while proposing palpable solutions for businesses,

31:09individuals and organizations. Today, all Cameroonians manipulate smartphones,

31:17computers and other gadgets. Any mistakes made put them at risk with scammers,

31:23hackers and even viruses. There are institutions whose systems have been hacked and others

31:29destroyed by viruses. Sensitization against these mishaps is imperative. That's why

31:36experts are here to train young people. Participants will be challenged in a cyber

31:43security exam and necessary measures have been taken to ensure an intense and fruitful training.

31:58The information security fair is organized by an association known in French as

32:03Association pour la Recherche de la Paix et du Développement.

32:08The Minister of Arts and Culture and the representative of the International

32:12Organization of la Francophonie for Central Africa have discussed further access of cooperation

32:17between Cameroon and France in the area of arts. During an audience, the Minister of Arts granted

32:22to the representative of the International Organization, the French team accepted to

32:27accompany Cameroonian musicians, artists and promote cultural centers. Let's take a listen

32:42During the audience with the Minister, we discussed several topics of interest between

32:48Cameroon and the International Organization of la Francophonie. The first topic was on the

34:59for the HND students and the HND students here at UJET involve the three schools. We have the

35:05School of Health Sciences, the School of Engineering and the Business School and then with this

35:10ceremony we follow up our students in the field because we have a service here in charge of

35:14internship. We have a service here in charge of following them up in their job site and we cannot

35:20without thanking our partner companies who consume these students and the feedback from

35:25the companies is always positive. Parents are using the occasion to appreciate the training.

35:30On behalf of my family we thank the preparer of this school because they are doing well. I can

35:36see it with my eye because of my son he's doing well in school. The ceremony ended with a lot of
