कोलकाता, पश्चिम बंगाल: क्षेत्रीय मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र के प्रमुख डॉ. सोमनाथ दत्ता ने कहा, मध्य और उत्तर-पश्चिम बंगाल की खाड़ी के ऊपर बना भीषण चक्रवाती तूफान 'दाना' 13 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से उत्तर-उत्तर पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ रहा है। सुबह 11:30 बजे तक, यह पारादीप से 180 किमी दक्षिण-पूर्व, धामरा से 210 किमी दक्षिण-दक्षिण पूर्व और सागर द्वीप से 270 किमी दक्षिण में केंद्रित है। आज रात या 25 अक्टूबर की सुबह-सुबह यह पुरी और सागर द्वीप के बीच भीतरकनिका और धामरा के पास उत्तर ओडिशा और पश्चिम बंगाल के तटों को पार कर सकता है, इस दौरान हवा की गति 100-110 किमी प्रति घंटे से बढ़कर 120 किमी प्रति घंटे तक हो सकती है।
