नई दिल्ली: प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी 11 मार्च को मॉरीशस की दो दिवसीय राजकीय यात्रा पर जाएंगे। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी मॉरीशस के प्रधानमंत्री डॉ. नवीनचंद्र रामगुलाम के आमंत्रण पर वहां जा रहे हैं। दो दिवसीय दौरे में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी मॉरीशस के राष्ट्रपति और प्रधानमंत्री से मुलाकात करेंगे। साथ ही मॉरीशस में वरिष्ठ गणमान्य व्यक्तियों और राजनीतिक दलों के नेताओं के साथ बैठक करेंगे। इस दौरान प्रधानमंत्री मोदी भारतीय मूल के लोगों से भी बातचीत करेंगे। जाहिर है कि भारत और मॉरीशस के बीच ऐतिहासिक और सांस्कृतिक संबंध सदियों पुराने हैं। इसके अलावा, मॉरीशस हिंद महासागर में भारत का नजदीकी सहयोगी है और विजन सागर का एक महत्वपूर्ण साझीदार है। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी 12 मार्च को मॉरीशस के राष्ट्रीय दिवस समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में भाग लेंगे। इस समारोह में भारतीय रक्षा बलों की एक टुकड़ी भी भारतीय नौसेना के एक जहाज के साथ हिस्सा लेगी। इससे पहले प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने वर्ष 2015 में मॉरीशस का दौरा किया था।

02:41On the occasion of the National Day, a contingent of the Indian Defence Forces will participate in the celebrations.
