00:00In Quezon City, there is a lot of flooding due to the storm Christine.
00:04In a barangay, residents have a system whenever there is a storm, especially when their area is low.
00:10Denise Osorio has the details.
00:16Some parts of Quezon City were flooded by the sea during the storm Christine.
00:22Until now, the flood water has reached Hita and only big trucks are able to cross it.
00:28Residents and their children are stranded as well.
00:32When vehicles pass by, the flood water reaches the equipment on the side of the road and wherever it goes.
00:40The residents of Barangay Masambong, because their area is low, have a system whenever there is a storm.
00:47We are used to not being able to sleep because our bodies are wet.
00:51The rain is heavy and we can see that the water is getting heavier.
00:57We have to lift our equipment first.
00:59Joanne Jose added, one of the first responders of Barangay Masambong,
01:04they let the children go first and they automatically let the children go to the barangay for their safety.
01:12The residents here are all white whenever there is a flood because of the water next to their river.
01:17I am from Masambong, I was born here and I was swept away by the flood several times.
01:23Inundoy, Karina, let's go to Christine.
01:27Christine, please leave.
01:29Even though the residents of Barangay Masambong were swept away by the flood several times,
01:33they got back up even though it was hard.
01:36Denise Osorio for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
