00:00Back March 1st, 2023, Joe Mazzulla was starting to get criticized for his approach when it

00:06comes to the guys shooting threes and he basically said he wants them to shoot more.

00:12That happened after a Celtics 117-113 win over the Cavs.

00:16They made 16 threes, they shot 32.

00:19We all know how that season ended in the conference finals against Miami.

00:22In that game, they made nine threes, they shot 42 of them and everybody was calling

00:28for Joe Mazzulla's head after, saying this guy's gotta go, he doesn't know how to coach,

00:33he's telling the guys to shoot more threes, he has too much focus on threes.

00:37I said it, I think a lot of other people on this show said it.

00:40They walked through fire to get to the other side.

00:44It clearly, Joe Mazzulla made it an emphasis when it came to practice, when it came to

00:47games to get the guys to shoot threes.

00:51It is working.

00:52You looked around that team yesterday and you saw a bunch of guys that were confident

00:56when it came to shooting beyond the arc.

00:59And that is going to be the difference when it comes to this team and other good teams

01:03in the league.

01:04Joe Mazzulla has the secret sauce, he's gotten all the guys to buy in and we all owe him

01:09an apology.

01:10Yes, it sucked that first season where we all didn't agree with his coaching ability

01:18or his reasoning behind wanting the guys to shoot more threes, but just a season later

01:23it worked.

01:24In two seasons after that, we're going to see more of the same.
