00:00Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils in Western Visayas have been alerted

00:06to respond to the flood and water level, especially to the critical rivers.

00:19The government agencies and the local DRRMC here in Western Visayas

00:23are alerted to respond to the flood and water level monitoring.

00:27This morning, the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was raised

00:30because of the storm Christine in Western Visayas.

00:33The entire province of Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Kaluya Island, Iloilo,

00:37Guimaras, and several parts of Negros Occidental, along with Bacolod City, are also affected.

00:42The Bureau of Fire Protection, Bacolod City Fire Station,

00:46responded quickly when the flood reached Dintib,

00:48in the part of Barangay Sumag in Bacolod City.

00:51Firefighters held the flood water,

00:54and several rescue groups and local DRRM helped to evacuate the residents,

00:58especially the children and the elderly.

01:01In Bagos City, in Negros Occidental,

01:03the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was raised

01:05when the flood water reached the highway

01:08in the part of Barangay Tabunan when the storm Christine entered on Monday.

01:12Meanwhile, the water level monitoring continues in the province of Antique,

01:16especially in the Kangaranan River and Paliwan River in the town of Bugasong

01:20and the Dayao River and Bontol Bridge in the town of Sibalong in Antique.

01:24In the province, the local DRRM is currently checking the coastal areas of the town

01:28and the Binangbang River.

01:30There are also those who monitored the earthquake near the highway

01:33in Barangay Solido and Pinatuas in the town of Nabas in Aklan.

01:36According to the forecast,

01:38strong winds are expected here in Western Visayas,

01:41which is now under the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

01:45Almost all face-to-face classes in the region

01:48as part of the safety and pre-emptive measures of the LGUs

01:52due to the strong rain and wind.

01:54The Office of Civil Defense is now in a blue alert status

01:57along with the local DRRMs here in Western Visayas.
