Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) CEO Datuk Nasiruddin Mohd Ali, his wife Datin Azura Md Yusof, and son of Al-Arqam founder Ashaari Muhammad, Adib At-Tamimi were among 22 who were charged at the Selayang Sessions Court with being members of an organised criminal group.

All 22 were charged on Wednesday (Oct 23) under Section 130V(1) of the Penal Code and face a maximum 20-year jail sentence if convicted.

00:33The other 19 accused consist of 13 men and 9 women, aged between 27 and 72.
00:40No pleas were recorded as the case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court due to
00:45the Security Offences Special Measures Act 2012, SOSMA.
00:50On Tuesday, Inspector General of Police Tanshri Razaruddin Hussein confirmed that the suspects
00:56would be charged under Section 130 V1 of the Penal Code.

01:07the GISB leader was among 58 individuals re-arrested under the Security Offences Special Measures
01:15Act 2012, SOSMA, on October 10.
01:19Since the launch of Op Global in September, authorities have detained 415 individuals
01:25and rescued 625 victims, aged between 2 months and 28 years.
01:31Of those detained, 273 have been granted bail, 37 released without conditions, 35 remain
01:38in custody, two handed over to the Qaeda Islamic Religious Affairs Department, and one transferred
01:44to the Immigration Department for deportation.
