00:02That's what the House Squad Committee's lead chair, Robert Ace Barbers, is arguing.

00:07Now, the Senate will also have a separate hearing

00:11on the war on drugs of the former administration.

00:18The House Squad Committee is hoping that former President Rodrigo Duterte

00:23will continue their hearing this Tuesday

00:26on illegal drugs and extraditional killings during the administration.

00:31This Friday, the Squad Committee formally invited the former president.

00:36Duterte's camp has already confirmed this, according to the PNP.

00:42Back then, we were invited by our former president to appear.

00:47Not as a person that we were accusing,

00:50but to clarify all of these things.

00:54He said in the media that if he is invited, he will come.

00:59That's why I think there's no doubt that he might come.

01:05If he doesn't come, we still have witnesses

01:10that will really speak about these things.

01:13The Joint Panel assures that they will give full respect

01:18to the former president if he attends the hearing.

01:21But that doesn't mean that he is safe from the contempt order, if ever.

01:27It's up to him to be present tomorrow.

01:29And it's up to his answers and his actuation during the hearing.

01:36So for me, as I've said, I can't be ahead of the former president.

01:42The Senate also has a separate hearing

01:46on the war on drugs of former President Duterte.

01:49But according to Quadcom's lead chair Robert S. Barbers,

01:52this can be done alone.

01:55If they will agree, I think it's for the country.

01:58It's a big, extensive and comprehensive investigation

02:02so that we can make the proposed laws that are being drafted.

02:06Together with the Quadcom,

02:08some officials from the Office of the Solicitor General

02:11were present at a press conference.

02:13Here, the Congressmen formally submitted to the OSG

02:17the important document on POGO,

02:19which is known as evidence of manual transactions

02:23and activities of some Chinese nationals in the country.

02:26The OSG assured that they will study it thoroughly.

02:29If the real estate is still in the name of these Chinese,

02:37we will file the necessary actions,

02:40escheat or reversion.

02:43Then, if it's in the name of Filipino individuals,

02:49it's already cured,

02:51but it's subject to possible administrative

02:56or criminal actions of those involved.

03:00According to Quadcom,

03:02their hearing on POGO is not yet over,

03:05and they have just submitted their documents

03:07and recommendations to the OSG.

03:10The Congressmen are confident in their every hearing,

03:14as long as it is based on truth and justice.
