00:00Alright, what's up Floor Gang, MKBHD here.
00:28So we all know the Mac Pro has the option to have wheels, but it doesn't necessarily
00:35move very fast.
00:37That's where this comes in.
00:38So welcome back to Dope Tech, the series about absolute bleeding edge tech, the craziest,
00:42fanciest, most awesome stuff.
00:45Some of it you may want to buy, some of it you may never actually want to buy, but this,
00:49I didn't know if I should introduce it as a PC, a high-end PC that can also be drivable
00:56or a mini Tesla that also has a PC in it.
01:02Either way, it's pretty sick.
01:04So first of all, this starts with a Tesla Model S for kids toy built by Radio Flyer.
01:10You may have seen this thing before, but they've worked with Tesla directly to make a pretty
01:14much exact replica of a Tesla Model S, but of course smaller for kids to drive around
01:20in the driveway.
01:21But it's strikingly accurate.
01:23That's the thing about it.
01:24The one I have here is basically the same spec as Apollo was, so gray paint and black
01:29turbine wheels.
01:31And then just the more you look around it, the more impressive all of the details you
01:35find.
01:36The steering wheel, you know, the buttons and all the horn, the placement of everything
01:39around the steering wheel is the same as a Model S and yes, the horn works.
01:44All of the chrome trim all around the whole car, including the front, at the hood, in
01:48the grill, the headlights, yes, can turn on and are working.
01:52There's even a sound system that you can plug your phone into through a headphone jack.
01:57If you have still a headphone jack on your phone and you have that cable, you can drive
02:01the car and have your music playing and it runs on batteries too.
02:05So you might be wondering, how do you charge this thing?
02:08Well, the same way you would charge a regular Tesla with a plug that comes with it, plugs
02:14into the wall, and then you flip out the back cover over the left tail light.
02:18And sure enough, there's a plug there.
02:20You plug that in and there's your fast charging.
02:23It's just like the actual car.
02:24It's kind of sick.
02:25Now it says it's for kids and the weight limit is 81 pounds listed on their website for actually
02:32sitting in the car and driving it, but that didn't really stop us from trying to have
02:38some fun with it.
02:39Fun fact, you can take the seat out and fit larger humans or dogs in it.
02:44So that's what we did.
02:45This was all shot before quarantine life kicked in.
02:48So that's why there's multiple of us in an empty studio.
03:15Okay.
03:37So Origin PC saw this thing and they saw the front trunk space, which is by default totally
03:43empty like a normal Tesla.
03:45And they thought, since they build custom PCs all the time, light bulb moment.
03:49That's enough space to put in a custom PC.
03:51We got enough space to build the parts in here.
03:54And so that's exactly what they did.
03:57So yes, the car that I've been driving around is also a full-on, really high-end gaming
04:02PC under the hood, literally.
04:05And most of the parts are right here, as you can see, a compact motherboard, the two Corsair
04:09Dominator RAM sticks that are lighting up, 16 gigs each.
04:14The CPU is under this liquid cooling block and it's an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X.
04:19So it's a 12 core, 3.8 gigahertz processor.
04:22And the graphics card is an RTX 2080 Ti, which is sick.
04:26And there's also, you can see in the front, a two terabyte SSD and that's the system disk.
04:32So this is serious business.
04:34So if you already know, then you already know how great these parts are already.
04:38The second I benchmark this thing, it turns into like, well, could we optimize the performance
04:42by improving the thermal situation?
04:44Obviously, this is not ideal.
04:47There have been many custom PCs of all sorts of themes built before, but how precise and
04:52how well they've built this one is just what I'm admiring.
04:56That's what's the dope tech about it is it's really impressively also good looking, if
05:00I say so myself.
05:01All the cables are pretty well hidden and intricately woven into place when they do
05:05need to be visible.
05:07The liquid cooling reservoir looks sick.
05:09And then the tubing, as you can see, exits out the side of the front trunk.
05:14And if you follow that by pulling back the wheel, it's hard to show, but that tubing
05:19and the radiator continue and are hidden in the door of the car.
05:23And then on the other side door, you actually have the IO cabling and the power supply.
05:28And it even has this little fan in the front right here, which is sort of cut into the
05:32side of the front trunk.
05:33Now, if you're going to run this as your PC, when it's turned on, you should probably leave
05:37it open, let the air flow through things.
05:40It also looks better that way, I think.
05:43But if you do happen to need it closed, then I guess that fan will bail you out.
05:48Now, you might be wondering, looking at this, where do you actually plug things in and use
05:52the PC?
05:53Well, Origin has cleverly thought of this and wired pretty much all the IO back around
05:58to the front, right around where the dashboard would be in the car.
06:03So there's your USB ports, your HDMI port for a monitor, even a headphone jack and a
06:09microphone jack.
06:11It's all looking like it's meant to be here, like integrated well, which is amazing.
06:15But there also is a USB-C header inside the front trunk if I want to throw a dongle in
06:19there or something that I want to keep hidden.
06:21And then top it all off with some RGB strips around the outside, because obviously it's
06:26a custom PC, you still need some lights.
06:28And then you're locked and loaded, ready to play some games, probably racing games.
06:32So there you go.
06:33We've seen all types of PC builds in the past, you know, the world's smallest custom PC,
06:38the most RGB, a see-through build, a Minecraft-themed build, a celebrity PC build, all this stuff.
06:45No matter what, I'm still going to say this one was pretty special and one of my favorites.
06:50And so I'm glad they decided to make it.
06:51Now if the question is, why would you want to drive your PC up and down an empty driveway?
06:59Maybe just for the giggles, just because you want to say you can.
07:03Maybe you just want to be able to say you have the world's fastest PC.
07:09So there, there's your bragging rights right there.
07:11I'll leave a link below to Origin's site where, believe it or not, they are selling this,
07:17which is hilarious.
07:19But also maybe, maybe an actual Tesla is the fastest gaming PC because you can play games
07:26in it and it's a real car, so it goes a lot faster.
07:30But anyway, either way, felt like showing this to you guys.
07:33It's definitely dope tech.
07:35And that's pretty much it for this one.
07:37Right back at you soon with some regular tech and some more smartphone videos.
07:41You already know what's coming up.
07:42So I'll talk to you guys very soon in the next one.
07:45Peace.
