00:00You guys, a new Samsung fan edition phone just dropped. We're looking at the S21 FE in this video.
00:14Good day, you beautiful people. Welcome to Issa Does Tech where we do tech in your life in style.
00:19I'm in Vegas for CES and our very first video is on the Samsung S21 FE. Fresh from announcement,
00:25I gotta check it out and we're also looking at what's new, what's hot with it, and some sample
00:31shots. Let's start. This is the Samsung S21 FE. It comes in four yummy colors and you guys know me,
00:38I love the lavender version. Now this new phone has what Samsung calls a haze finish which means
00:44that it's a little bit matte, it's a little bit rubberized, and as you can see here, it's not
00:49completely smooth and it just gives it that little texture and feel that's really nice in hand.
00:55That is a polycarbonate back. It's also a pretty nice lightweight phone and that means it's very
01:00comfortable in hand. The camera module on the back of this phone looks like the camera module on the
01:05S21 series phones. It tapers to one end and on the S21 FE, it isn't so bulky. That's actually a very
01:14thin bump which I feel gives this phone a nice uniform look all throughout. On the right side
01:19of the phone is the power button and the volume rocker. So at the bottom, you find the at the
01:24bottom, you find the SIM tray, the USB-C ports, speaker grills, and yes the size of these phones,
01:30that frame, matches the color of the phone. Up front is a 6.4 inch full HD plus dynamic OLED 2x
01:37display. That's a mouthful. And it also rocks a pinhole selfie camera. So a few things about the
01:45Samsung S21 FE. Similar to the Samsung S21, this thing is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor.
01:51There's an 8 gig 256 variant and a 6 gig 128 variant. It has 4,500 milliamp hours battery
01:57power with 25 watt wired charging and 15 watt wireless charging plus power share. It runs on
02:03Android 12 on Samsung's One UI 4. It's NFC enabled, 5G enabled, and is IP68. Right, let's check out
02:10the cameras. On the back of this phone is a 12 megapixel wide-angled camera, a 12 megapixel main
02:16camera, and an 8 megapixel telephoto camera with 30x zoom. Yeah, that's how far it goes. Let's see that again.
02:40So these rear cameras can shoot video up until 4k 60fps. There's also still that super steady
02:48mode on. And of course, Samsung's single take mode is also on this phone. Up front, that's a 32 megapixel
02:54selfie camera. And it still does that wide selfie which is a feature I really really like. And you
03:00can also do 4k 60 video with this selfie camera. Now the one new editing feature on this is Samsung's
03:07object eraser which basically allows you to take out, well, distractions in photos you just shot.
03:13So for example, as you can see, Nick is behind me, use the object eraser, and now he is not. Pretty
03:21excited to put this feature to the test to see just what it can handle. You guys didn't think
03:25I'd look at a phone without checking out cameras, did you? Let's check out some sample shots.
04:083x and then zooming to 12x. And then back to wide. Full HD 60fps, that's 1x. And you can zoom up until
04:2110x, that's me. And then back to 1x. Other hand, full HD 30, 1x wide, 1x, 3x, 12x. Well, I mean, you can see
04:35like how far it goes. And then 5x. No, that's wide. Full HD 60, there is no wide, but you can zoom up until 10x.
04:51That was our first look at the Samsung S21 FE. This phone will be available January 11 on the
04:56Samsung website and other online retailers. And it's priced starting $699 US. Coming in at a price
05:03point that's just a hundred dollars cheaper than the S21. Do you think this phone is worth it? Of
05:08course, it's just our first look, but I'm hoping to get my hands on a review unit. So let me know
05:12what you guys want to know about this phone. Comment down below. That's it for today. If you
