00:00Hello, good afternoon and welcome to the results show. All killer and no filler today. Five
00:15three o'clock kick-offs in the Premiership including the top two toe-to-toe at Celtic
00:22Park and the other top two side-by-side in the big blue sofa, that's you, Julie Fleeting
00:27and Cammie Bell. Brace yourselves folks, we're going around the grounds. Top of the shop
00:32today is Martin Dowden who's watching Celtic versus Aberdeen. It's Celtic 2, Aberdeen 2.
00:38This had the big billing and it's very much living up to it. What a game we have here.
00:43Celtic look to be in control after a great start from both sides, it has to be said.
00:47A great counter led to the opener for Celtic when Arne Engels released Kyogo down the line.
00:52He cut back for Hattati and he finished brilliantly, 1-0. A quick second arrived, Gavin Malloy
00:58failed to clear the ball, deflected back off him, it fell right to Kyogo. There's a chance
01:03for Aberdeen and it's unbelievably in the net, it's Aberdeen 3, Celtic 2. Duke, the
01:11substitute, come on at half-time. A corner came in, the ball bounced around in the box
01:16and I think Duke got the final touch. This is absolutely unbelievable. Celtic had gone
01:222 up, it was Kyogo that found the corner and that looked to be that. Leighton Clarkson
01:27had a great chance just before half-time, he couldn't convert that and you thought,
01:32well, it's a long route back for Aberdeen, but Jimmy Thielen made changes at half-time.
01:37Duke come on, Esther Sockler come on, it was Sockler who got their first tee race clear.
01:42He found a corner past Schmeichel, Keskinen then could have played Duke in again, but
01:47scales recovered, but Aberdeen found a leveller, it was Graeme Shinnie from the edge of the
01:51box, his shot wildly deflected past Schmeichel and just there, a corner came in and Duke
01:58has turned this game in its head. It's Celtic 2, Aberdeen 3.
02:02Certainly is, but might be subject to a Varchick, looked in the studios, if it came off someone's
02:06elbow in there, we'll check that out and get back to you as soon as we know the precise
02:10details of that one. In the meantime, we'll head to Tyne Castle, Hearts against St Mirren,
02:15Brian McLaughlin.
02:16Yes, good afternoon David, it's Hearts 2, St Mirren 0. The first time Hearts have led
02:20in a domestic game this season, incredibly, and the first game in charge for the new head
02:25coach here, Neil Critchley. They took the lead after 15 minutes, a real terrific goal
02:30it was, started with Benny Beningame in midfield, playing the ball through to Vargas, a flick
02:35through to Shankland, an exquisite pass by the Scotland striker, back into the path of
02:40the Costa Rican, who fired home to give Hearts the lead. The second goal, well if the first
02:45one was good, the second one was an absolute beauty. Daniel Ogigoke, it started in the
02:50right back area of Hearts half and then ended up with Ogigoke firing a left footshot, it
02:56may well have taken a deflection off Lauren Shanklin, you can check that one out though
03:00on Sports Scene tonight, but it was a terrific strike. Almost a third for Hearts when the
03:05St Mirren goalkeeper, Balcombe, hit the ball against Blair Spittle, the then keeper hits
03:10it back towards his own goal, had to trundle back and clear the ball before it over the
03:15line. St Mirren have been really poor, just a one-half chance, that came in the first
03:19half from a St Mirren corner, Tanzer with the corner it was, Phillips with a header,
03:23all alone at the back post but he headed wide. But this has been Hearts' day so far, 71 minutes
03:28played here at Tyne Castle, Hearts 2, St Mirren 0. Before we move on, I'll just clear up that
03:33Aberdeen, a third goal at Celtic Park, it looked like a third goal but it's been chalked
03:38off for a handball, it did look as though it went in off of Duke's elbow. So it's still
03:442-2 at Celtic Park, off we go though with the speed of many antelopes to Fir Park, Motherwell
03:49at home to Dundee, Jane Lewis.
03:52Motherwell 0, Dundee 1, Dundee taking the lead late on in the first half, Lyle Cameron
03:57very much involved in the build-up and he scored the goal as well. He eventually got
04:02them into the box, the box eventually falling to Simon Murray, whose diving header was blocked,
04:07it then fell the ball to Cameron who tucked it away for their opening goal. There wasn't
04:12too much to separate the sides in the first half in this one, Dundee maybe with more possession
04:16and certainly more threatening with the ball when they had it. Motherwell's had a couple
04:21of half chances through Andy Halliday and Stamatopoulos. Dundee have started the second
04:26half very brightly indeed, Main and Murray coming close. Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell
04:30obviously not pleased with what he's seen, he has rung the changes in the second half
04:34and I tell you what, it's having the desired effect, Motherwell playing with more energy,
04:38more intent, they're searching for that equaliser, they're certainly threatening, it's not come
04:42as yet though with Dundee honing in on their first league victory since the 10th of August.
04:48As it stands, they're getting it, but there's what, 15 minutes left, it's Motherwell 0, Dundee 1.
04:53Off we go to Perth now, St Johnstone at home to Ross County this afternoon, let's welcome Amy Canavan.
05:01Good afternoon, David Jenson gets a win at home in the league this season, but they're certainly on course to do that today.
05:06Guided by Andy Kirk of course, with Simo Vallecari, who remember was announced on the 1st of the month,
05:13he was watching on from the stand today with relevant paperwork incomplete, he'd have had a smile on his face.
05:18Early doors though, as the side were cushioned into a lead by Benji Kipioka, the strong forward was unmarked,
05:24making his run into the six-yard box as the county players were too busy crying for a foul in the build-up,
05:28truth be told, but after a wee finger to the ear from John Beaton, VAR didn't interfere, citing minimal contact with the SFA,
05:36and the goal stood, my...
05:39One or two technical problems there, but bizarrely I quite enjoyed that, it sounded like the DJ remix from MacDermid Park,
05:46but as I think you got from what Amy was trying to say there, St Johnstone 2-0 up, and they had a third,
05:51Nicky Clark had a goal chalked off in that one as well. Let's make haste now for Tannadice,
05:57Dundee United at home to Hibs this afternoon, here's Kerr Dean.
06:00One apiece here, and this one's coming nicely to the boil now, the first half wasn't great,
06:04it was a tale really of two worn Ohora goals he put into his own net to give Dundee United the lead,
06:09when Glenn Middleton tormented the Hibs right back, Lewis Miller ran the length of the touchline,
06:14and watch this powerful cross diverted in by Ohora, with United's Sam Dalby in close proximity,
06:20he may well be claiming the goal, pretty sure the final touch though was Ohora's,
06:23the big defender then made up for it at the other end though just before half-time,
06:27nodding home following a well-worked Hibs free kick, Miller was hooked at half-time
06:32and replaced by Martin Boyle, who's looked lively, and United nearly though had joy down the Hibs
06:36right once again when Middleton crossed for Dalby to head in, the home celebrations were then cut
06:42short by the goal being disallowed for what I presume was an extremely tight VAR call for offside,
06:47Kwan then broke from the Hibs midfield to try his luck from distance, only to have his shot tipped
06:52over by homekeeper Jack Walton, we've still got 20 minutes to play here, it's anyone's game,
06:57it's Dundee United 1 Hibs 1. Thanks Kerry, what an afternoon guys, we've got five games,
07:0111 goals and what three chalked off already, and still about 10-15 minutes to go, but I think we
07:06have to start this afternoon Julie, at Celtic Park, Celtic 2, Aberdeen 2, and at half-time,
07:12let's be honest, Celtic 2-0 up on their home turf, you can't see any other outcome than a
07:18win for Celtic? No you couldn't, the game started really well, Aberdeen were really high intensity,
07:22they looked like they were going to really try and take the game to Celtic, and then as soon as
07:27Celtic got goals up, poor defensive goals from an Aberdeen point of view, but great finish from
07:33Hatati the first one and then Kyogo the second, and at that point you just thought typical Celtic,
07:38they're going to continue to put the pressure on, they're going to add to their goal tally,
07:42but all credit, it just shows you the turnaround, there was two substitutions made, good coaching,
07:48whatever the points were at half-time, certainly Aberdeen come out, and by getting that early goal
07:53in the second half, you can see it's completely changed their mentality, and they've really made
07:58a game of it, it's an exciting game, we can barely take our eyes off it, and who knows how it's
08:02going to finish? Aye, and that goal that was chalked off for Aberdeen, clearly that was the right decision
08:08Yeah it was, and again I think it was Rubicic that got the header initially, and then it's hit off
08:12Duke's arm, and went in, but as Julie said, see the substitutions at half-time has totally changed
08:16the game for Aberdeen, they're right back in it, I've got a touch on the ball from Jamie McGrath,
08:20his ball through for I think it was Sochler's goal, yeah it was a fantastic ball, brilliant goal,
08:27great finish as well, one-on-one with Kasper Schmeichel, it's not easy to put past them, so
08:31they're right in this game, and this game could go anyway. Aye, we were kind of curious, well I was
08:35anyway, to see how Aberdeen would approach this game, there was questions, would Jimmy Tallien
08:39go and do it, a lot of teams do, and just simply defend and hold on for a quick break, and maybe
08:45get something out of the game, but it's not been like that. No it hasn't, and he's stuck with the
08:49line-up that he's had for the last, I think it was three games in a row, he started with that
08:53line-up, just showing that he believes in what he's got in the dressing room, he thinks that they've
08:58got a decent enough side who don't need to come in and just defend against Celtic, he'd probably
09:03get a bit of a shock I think in the first half, when Celtic get goals up, because it's not an
09:10easy place to go, it's a big pitch, really difficult to keep that high intensity going, but
09:15certainly second half, whatever problems they had in the first half, they seemed to put right,
09:20and they are really having a go, the ball through from Jamie McGrath, the incredible technique,
09:26perfect weighted pass, and as Cami said, a great finish. Interesting how this game pans out now,
09:33because if you're Aberdeen, might you be tempted to just say, right lads, let's just hold on for a
09:37point here, Celtic have got to go for it you would think? Yeah I think so, but really watching the
09:42game the way it is, Aberdeen are still wanting to win this game, I think they realise they had that
09:46third goal, I think they believe they can go and get another goal in this game, the way it's playing
09:50out, yes they could concede, so they're going to have to be defensively aware of Celic's threats,
09:55but I still think they believe they can get this goal to win the game. Now from the top two to the
09:59team at the bottom, which is currently Hearts, it looks as though they're on course for their first
10:05league win of the season, they won of course in Europe, in Kazakhstan, but Neil Critchley's
10:11first game, he's heading for three points. You've got them playing really good football, they've been
10:15really entertaining right from the start, lots of one-touch passing, great movement between the
10:20front players, the first goal, Vargas' goal was absolutely outstanding, a great team goal,
10:26good play, brilliant link-up play, an excellent final pass from Shankland into his path,
10:32and a really good finish, but I've been really impressed with the football that they've played
10:36so far in this game, and rightly so, the two goals up. Plenty more to talk about right now,
10:41we're heading back to Tannadice, for Kerdinadson has news there, Dundee United, Hibbs, a goal.
10:48Remember how I said this one was coming nicely to the boil David, well two and a half thousand
10:51Hibbs fans away to my left are rejoicing because Dwight Gale's just headed his first goal for the
10:57club, beautiful cross from Jordan Obita, headed down into the ground and up into the roof of the
11:02net by the substitute Dwight Gale, we've played 74 minutes here, it's Dundee United 1, Hibbs 2.
11:09Hibbs looking good for a win, David Gray really needs a win for Hibbs as well,
11:13they've been a wee bit of a slump. Yeah he does, he needs that win, he just needs to get three points
11:18in the bank and this has been a difficult game, again a game you'd probably swayed both ways,
11:23Hibbs again when they lost the goal early on you don't know how they were going to react or
11:28recover, they did recover and they've been better the second half, but again I still think there's
11:32goals left in this game as well because Dundee United have had a really good start to the season
11:36and they won't want to lose points at home. They had a second goal chalked off as well.
11:41They did and really poor defending from Hibbs, we've talked about their defence before already
11:47this season and it was a cross in, great play from Middleton on the left hand side, he was involved
11:52in the first goal as well and a brilliant ball into the box but they were too static the defenders
11:58and allowed the Dundee United striker to nip in, but fortunately that one was called off and they
12:04now find themselves in a really different position so they now have that lead to hang onto and it's
12:08possibly just about managing the game now because three points are really important.
12:12And Dundee also have a lead to try and hang on to Cammy, something they haven't proven expert at so
12:17far this season. Yeah again they've been really good in this game against Motherwell, it was a
12:23brilliant finish from Lyle Cameron, ball kind of broke to the left, he initially started the move
12:28and then it fell into his path but what it had to play past two or three defenders trying to block
12:33it right into the corner, a brilliant finish and they've been good value for it as well.
12:37Tell you what, the big game in the championship this afternoon, second versus third at Somerset,
12:41Air United against Livingston, time for some championship chat from Chick.
12:46It's just brilliant, passion, quality, commitment, just a great football match to watch at the moment,
12:53Livingston are leading Air United by two goals to one, Livy's goals both came in the first half,
12:59an absolutely sensational finish by Robbie Murad after just eight minutes, a great goal
13:06cutting in from the right side and curling it beyond the goalkeeper Liam Russell on the Air
13:11United goal, gave them a lead then they went 2-0 ahead, it was a lovely finish, Scott Pittman
13:16sprung the offside trap, casually just took his time and rolled it again beyond the goalkeeper,
13:23it seemed that Livingston had a real grip in the game, it was 2-0 at half time but in the second
13:27half just a few moments, some inches before half time rather, there was a chance, there was a ball
13:33whipped over from the left hand side, there was a header from George Oakley, there was a
13:36magnificent save from Jerome Pryor but there for a tap-in was Conor McLennan, just to tap it in
13:43and make it 2-1 at half time, there have been no further goals so far in this football match but
13:48the entertainment continues to rattle on and Air United are pounding Livingston's goal, they just
13:54can't get the equaliser but what a performance by them, both teams actually and this still could go
14:01either way at the moment though, oh there's an effort just missed, I thought that might
14:06have been the moment from Conor McLennan but not to be and the scoreline at the moment is
14:11Air United 1-0 Livingston 2-0. Thanks very much Chick, in fact Livingston the only side heading
14:16for three points in the championship so far, it's all squared in the other three games,
14:20Dunfermline 0-0, Morton 0-0, Partick Thistle 1-0, Airdrie Oneans 1-0, Wraith Rovers 1-0,
14:25Queen's Park 1-0 but Livingston the only unbeaten side coming in the championship,
14:32it looks as though they could be motoring up to second spot today. Yeah for the brilliance,
14:35they kind of went under the radar a little bit because we're speaking about Falkirk and how well
14:38they've done for such a long period and Air United were chasing them and Livingston have had a number
14:43of draws in there but as you say unbeaten, that's a huge victory if they can get three points over
14:48at Somerset Park, yeah and they've got a good side, they've got experienced players, they've
14:53got an experienced manager in there as well and I think they'll be very hard to beat this season.
14:56We haven't spoken Julie about St Johnson 2-0 up against Ross County and Ross County now down to
15:02what nine men? Yeah I think nine, I didn't see the second sending off but certainly that's a real
15:10task to try and come back into the game, you couldn't see it happening at all and St Johnson
15:14have taken their goals well, could have been three up but a VAR intervention called off,
15:19I think it might have been an offside in the lead up to Nicky Clark's goal but it's probably
15:24been an easier afternoon than St Johnson were predicting getting into this game. I was going
15:29to say earlier in the season Cammy if you recall, if my memory serves me correctly, St Johnson were
15:34two goals ahead of County, 3-1 up on that occasion, County managed to mount a late comeback and
15:40salvage a point, much tougher now when they're down to nine. Yeah much, much tougher and again
15:45St Johnson have been really good in the game, loads of opportunities, loads of chances, they've took
15:48their chances as well, they're always a threat at the top end of pitch and I think that's the
15:52difference between this season and last season, top end of the pitch they've got loads of threats
15:56up there. Tell you what, back to the championship because whatever happens wherever in that division
16:01this afternoon it won't alter the fact that Falkirk are top of the table, the Bairns starting the day
16:05five points clear of Air United after their Friday night foray to Hamilton in BBC Scotland's live
16:11match, their business was pretty much concluded in the first half Cammy, they were 3-0 up and
16:17three points secure, just tell us what's happening here if you can. Really difficult to see as you
16:21can see it's a very wet night but again, horrible night, a horrible night as you say, brilliant
16:27start for Falkirk, again a ball into the box and they're just not defended properly and they're
16:32just building it again, they're so confident at the moment, it's a difficult place to go,
16:36Hamilton especially, your Friday night games they'll be up for it, this one here you feel as
16:41if the keeper could have done a little bit better, it was a deflected shot from Calvin Miller and
16:46this is a crazy foul to give away, the players going absolutely low. You think that's a penalty?
16:50Yeah I do I think, Brad Spencer gets a little bit of luck here, really unfortunate for the goalkeeper
16:56but manages to put it and as you say it's put to bed almost at half time for them.
17:01Yeah Hamilton did manage to come back into things a wee bit in the second half
17:06but I mean they were well out of the game by this time weren't they? Yeah they were,
17:11I mean it's a nice finish and a follow-up from the keeper, the ball coming back off the keeper but
17:17I mean to try and come back, a team like Falkirk 3-0 up, really difficult to try and
17:22come back from that and I mean they made a go of it but yeah Falkirk continuing their
17:27dominance in the championship. John Rankin saying his comments at half time were unrepeatable
17:32Carly, you can understand but it seemed to have some effect. Yeah I could imagine Rank's getting
17:36a little bit angry in there as well but again it's just passion wants to win the games, obviously
17:40wasn't acceptable the way his team showed in the first half so yeah you could imagine he was
17:47really angry but a brilliant win for Falkirk. He's not the only person that's angry, I tell you what
17:51we're heading back, we're heading to Tyne Castle Hearts versus St Mirren, Brian you have an update?
17:57A third goal for Hearts and it's the first goal for the youngster James Wilson just on as a
18:02substitute, the teenager scoring after a free kick from Danda was knocked back across goal,
18:07the Saints defence all over the place and Wilson was there just to tap the ball
18:12into the back of the net, four and a half minutes left here at Tyne Castle, it's going to be the
18:16first three points of the season for Neil Critchley's here at Hearts, it's 3-0 to Hearts
18:22with three and a half minutes left to play. Thanks Brian, St Mirren certainly had plenty of bodies
18:27back in the box, just couldn't clear it. They did and it's almost two of the defenders I think
18:32Gogic and someone else just seemed to get in each other's way and that's almost stopped them,
18:37I think it might be done, that's stopped them from getting any sort of clearance on it, the
18:41balls fell really kindly to Wilson and I mean what a great thing to happen on your debut I think,
18:48did he say it was his first goal? Again you can see it's a free kick from wide and it's St Mirren's
18:55players just banging on each other and it's perfect for Wilson, just follows his feet, bundles
18:59into the back of the net but yeah that's them home and dry today. Some men don't have their
19:03troubles to seek, it's been a wee while since they've managed to put a good run together but
19:09defensively Iacoviti's injured, Taylor's just in operation, Sean Rooney has departed from the club
19:16so it's a testing time for Steven Robinson. As in probably this game going to Tyne Castle when
19:21there has been changes and the players, the Hearts players will be looking to impress the new manager,
19:27want to be in their plans because they do have quite a good squad, they've got a big squad so for
19:32St Mirren to go there in what was probably going to be a tough afternoon anyway with their own
19:38issues about who's going to be available for selection, it was always going to be a tough
19:42afternoon for them but certainly they've never looked to be in this game, they've created very
19:47few chances, we've hardly seen Craig Gordon in the Hearts goal so yeah it's been a really tricky
19:53afternoon for them. Quite a week for Craig Gordon, two Scotland appearances at the age of 41
19:59and then it looks as though he's going to get a clean sheet back in the Premiership. Yeah it's been
20:02brilliant, what a story Craig Gordons is, especially when we've seen that injury at Tanadise over a
20:07year ago now and he's came back as you say at the age of 41 and to get back in the Scotlands,
20:11the disappointment of not going to the Euros and then he's still, maybe still available, not retired
20:16from international football and he's absolutely living life at the moment, playing for Hearts and
20:20obviously our national goalkeeper again so it's great to see. Tell you what folks, time for a time
20:25out because it's time for Trail Time, here's what's coming up this week. Tomo and the team are here at
20:317.15 with a highlight show, Hoaching with Games 5 of the Beauties including Celtic versus Aberdeen,
20:37join Johnners for the juiciest cuts of Comarnock versus Rangers tomorrow night 7.15. There's live
20:43commentary of that match in the SportsZone tomorrow, Richard Gordon presiding from a quarter to midday,
20:49European action aplenty midweek with SportsZone across the platforms, Atalanta versus Celtic on
20:55Wednesday, then Rangers versus FCSB of Romania and Hearts versus Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia
21:02on Thursday. Tomorrow you can watch Hibbs versus Rangers in the SWPL on BBC Alba with highlights
21:09of all the weekend's action from the top division with Jane Lewis at 7 on BBC Scotland. The Scottish
21:15women's national team have a big big game on Thursday, they're away to Hungary in the first leg
21:20of the Euro playoffs, it's live on BBC Alba and also on SportsZone and on Friday night there's live
21:26Scottish cup action on BBC Scotland as three rovers host Stranraer. Cammy I see looking out your eye
21:33towards the monitor something of interest there is there? Yeah I think there's been a second yellow card
21:41I think it's for Joe Newell, yeah he's went over the top and it's certainly a yellow card if not a red
21:46I know he's went in for the challenge but when you go that hard with force and you don't completely
21:52play the ball I think you're always running the risk so it looks as if Hibbs will be down to 10
21:56men for the last part of the game. Well let's hear how Kerdine Idsand saw the incident at Tanadise
22:01United-Hibbs. Yeah Joe Newell is walking towards the tunnel at the moment, he's not too happy at
22:07all the Hibbs captain he was on a yellow card from quite early in the match he went clattering
22:12into it Lucas Stevenson I mean it looked to me like he had plenty of contact with the ball the
22:17question is though did he also have contact with the man VAR was having a look at it as well
22:22the red card for serious foul play interesting it was a second yellow so he is making his way
22:29off the second yellow will stand therefore it's a red therefore Hibernian who lead by two goals to
22:34one will have to see out the remaining five minutes or so minus their captain and down to 10
22:39men. Five minutes or so there I'm hearing there's 10 minutes or so of stoppage time at Celtic Park
22:45and that one would that be Telleen time would you call it that? I mean 10 minutes seems a lot I know
22:52there was a VAR intervention for the third Aberdeen goal that was chopped off but I'm not
22:59sure what else. Maybe the officials are enjoying it so much they just don't want it to end yeah
23:03but it's a it's a cracking game that but there was a lot of talk prior to the game about this
23:07being the acid test for Aberdeen and you know I had to look up what an acid test was now I know
23:12it's great and it's kind of when you're doing a test on the durability or whatever of metals and
23:18if you're testing for gold you put acid on it because it would be more resistant anyway it's
23:22looking as though Aberdeen are standing up to the test. I was about to say that David that they are
23:26standing up to the test and listen I don't think the 10 minutes Aberdeen are still going for it
23:30Duke had a run there and again you see three or four players supporting them so they're still
23:34trying to win the game as well as Celtic. We're off to League One now and we're heading to Inverness
23:39Cali Thistle under threat of administration at home to Annan Athletic this afternoon let's hear
23:44all about that and more from Ian Auld. Yeah good afternoon David Cali Thistle fans have endured an
23:49awful week compounded by the news last night that the club have filed court papers to begin
23:54the administration process there was hope through the week administration could be avoided but no
24:00deal could be reached and the administrators are set to be appointed on Monday or Tuesday however
24:05there is a glimmer of hope on the field with the Cali Jags picking up what could be a big three
24:10points with the points deduction looming. Experienced defender Danny Devine a Scottish
24:15Cup winner with the club in 2015 with the only goal of the game on 21 minutes when he flicked
24:20in a Paul Allen free kick from down the left hand side. Annan did make life sticky for the home side
24:26but never really called Inverness number one Moussa Dibaga into action and then towards the end
24:31Devine almost had a second only to see his diving header sail wide. A massive week to come for the
24:37Highlanders full-time Cali Thistle one Annan Athletic nil. Thanks very much Ian just interesting
24:42to see the Danny Devine on the score sheet a Cup hero as he was mentioned it just shows you how
24:46quickly in football fortunes can change. Yeah they can and as I mean it's that's just the game isn't
24:54it it's why we love it so much so unpredictable and yeah just on the Inverness it's really sad
25:01because they've been such a great club had brought so much to the league and yes it's a shame.
25:09Yeah again we don't like to see it happen to clubs say but looks like the inevitable that they're
25:14going to go into administration and the 15 points deductions a big sort of chunk to try and claw
25:19back so we'll need to wait and see what happens with that one. A couple of goals coming in there's been a goal
25:23at Medimond Park Perth Mackenzie Kirk putting the Perth Sainties three nil up not quite as good
25:29for the Paisley Saints this afternoon they're away to Hearts and Brian McLaughlin has news of another
25:34goal. It's now Hearts four St Mirren nil Blair Spittle on target it was a real poor defensive
25:41error once again from Saints to try to pass the ball through the centre of the field the ball
25:45fell to Cammy Devlin he played in Spittle who had lots of time enough time to settle himself
25:51and then buried the ball with his left foot into the corner off the goal it's now Hearts four
25:57St Mirren nil. There you go I think that's that one just about done and dusted Julie yeah
26:02four goals for Hearts. Yeah I think so and I mean it's it's trying to get the best players for Hearts
26:08on the pitch and I think they kind of changed their system they'd Spittle they had Danda we
26:13hadn't seen an awful lot of them this season and they do have a great squad of players at Hearts
26:19and quite possibly the the new manager the new coach is maybe going to be able to get the best
26:24out of these players. Well he said he said I was reading his comments Cammy and he said you know
26:27I'm going to leave tactics for now I'm just going to work on the the thing you know heart, compassion
26:32not compassion, work rate etc well it seems to have paid off. Absolutely you look at the
26:38work rate from the players that from the offset they've been at the game they've been high press
26:42played with loads of energy but again as Julie said they've got quality players there so if you can get
26:46that out of them you win the ball high up the pitch with guys like Blair Spittle he's got the
26:50quality to score goals that was a brilliant finish with his bad foot his left foot into the corner
26:55and it's been a really impressive performance from Hearts. Evidence of the new boss bounce on more
27:00signs here? Doesn't matter who the manager is but a new face comes in and you get a performance.
27:05It does generally happen because players are kind of look at it as a new chapter for them a new fresh
27:12start a chance for them then to impress but at Hearts they had a great squad it's just it hadn't
27:18worked for them at the start of this season and it'll be then about bringing the very best out
27:23in these players because you look at the lineup that they've got you look at the players that
27:27they've got on the bench and they really should be challenging at the the top end again this season.
27:33A couple of teams challenging at the top end of the championship in action today facing one of
27:37Air United and Livingston Chick is at Somerset Park. Yeah we've had a game of leapfrog in the
27:44championship this afternoon because Livingston have just gone past Air United into second place
27:50they won this game by two goals to one what a football match this was thoroughly brilliant
27:55entertainment we were entertained from the first minute to the last your Livingston went two nil
28:00ahead your head scored a fabulous goal really wonderful goal cutting in from the right hand
28:05side on his left foot curled it with power beyond Liam Russell into the goal there was a second from
28:10Pittman much more relaxed calm and composed finish just rolling it beyond the goalkeeper
28:15real grip in the game Livingston had then but Conor McLennan just before half time and managed to
28:20get a tap in there was a header from Oakley brilliantly saved by Jerome Pryor in the Livingston
28:26goal and it just fell for the for McLennan to knock it over the line two one at half time
28:31two on at full time but a brilliant second half Air United pounded Livingston uh couldn't get the
28:36ball over the line they were worthy of a draw on this I have to say but that won't that won't
28:42matter at all to David Martindale his team goes second tonight great 2-1 victory great entertainment
28:48for the New Zealanders and perhaps the only disappointment is for the Air United fans in a
28:52crowd of 2,478 this was brilliant full-time Air United 1 Livingston 2. Thanks Chick I forgot to
29:01mention folks I'll be getting into trouble the game at Partick Thistle Partick Thistle against
29:05Airdrie kicked off 45 minutes late due to an injury to one of the match officials back to
29:12the Premiership and to Firr Park Motherwell against Dundees reached its conclusion Jane three points
29:17for the D yeah absolutely Dundee that win that they've been longing for the first league win
29:23has come since the 1st of August so they will be leaving Lanarkshire pretty happy with their
29:29day's work Motherwell though that defeat for them ends a run of three wins on the bounce
29:34Dundee taking the lead in this one early on in the first half it was Lyle Cameron who had a really
29:38good game actually this afternoon he could be pretty pleased with his involvement in the build
29:43up and of course he scored the goal as well it was his hard work and efforts that got them into the
29:48box the ball eventually falling to Simon Murray whose diving header was blocked it well then fell
29:54nicely into Cameron who coolly tucked the ball away he still had plenty to do but he did it very
29:59well indeed there wasn't too much to separate the sides in the first half Dundee perhaps shaded it
30:04in terms of possession but there was no more goals in the opening 45 minutes Dundee then came out the
30:09traps fairly brightly in the second half Simon Murray coming close as so too did Curtis Mayne
30:15the Motherwell manager Stuart Cattlewell didn't like what he saw he responded well he made plenty
30:20of changes and it looked to be having the desired effect there was more energy there was certainly
30:25more threatening threatening and attacking intent Lennon Miller it came so close a great effort
30:30from him was well really well saved by Trevor Carson who of course used to play here at Motherwell
30:35and who was back in goal for Dundee has making his first league appearance and then Jarr came on as a
30:41sub he spurned a brilliant chance to get the equalizer blazing over from about 12 yards he
30:47probably should have done better Motherwell tried their heart out to get the equalizer
30:51Dundee though something they've been criticised for and their defence held firm and they will
30:55leave here very very happy indeed it finished here Motherwell nil Dundee won. Still playing
31:00at Tanner Dyce but Kerdin Edson has news Kerdin. Still playing still scoring goals a Dundee united
31:07equalizer Lucas Stevenson bundling in after brilliant play down the left-hand side from
31:13Kristian Trapanovski excellent work really good cross Hibbs couldn't clear their lines Hibbs down
31:18to 10 men you'll remember and there was Lucas Stevenson to smash the ball home from close range
31:24to give Dundee United as things stand a share of the points but we still have about four minutes
31:29to play we've only played the 94 still four more to go to each year. Thanks very much Kerdin let's
31:35head to Tyne Castle now full-time Hearts submitted Brian. A lap of honour for the Hearts players this
31:40afternoon their first victory in domestic football this season 18,757 watched Hearts beat
31:47St Myrne by four goals to nil one nil at the break Kenneth Vargas scoring after a wonderful move
31:53involving Shankland and Beningame the second goal just two minutes into the second half Daniel
31:58Oyegoke again a move that started deep inside Hearts own half it may well have taken the deflection
32:04of Lauren Shankland decide for yourself later on two goals late on James Wilson the teenager
32:09his first goal for the club in a senior capacity anyways we've been banging them in for the B team
32:14and Blair Spittle rounding off a miserable afternoon for St Myrne and a glorious one for
32:19Hearts and their new head coach Neil Crickley for St Myrne it's now 1-1-11 and they face a trip
32:25to Ibrox next weekend for Hearts they're looking to make it two from two against Omnia Nicosia
32:31and UEFA Conference League on Thursday before that crucial visit to Easter Road next Sunday
32:36afternoon at Tyne Castle that finished Hearts four St Myrne nil thanks Brian we have re-established
32:42contact with Amy Cannament May Dermott Park she will now bring us her full-time report St Johnson
32:48Ross County here's hoping I do David anyway my goodness let's hope this line continues I rattled
32:54it all off last time and nobody heard it probably for the best but what is for the best St Johnson
32:58ended their seven match winless streak with their first home victory in the Scottish Premiership
33:02this season against nine-man Ross County despite being appointed on the 1st of October
33:07new head coach Seymour Valakari watched his side's win from the stand with the relevant
33:12paperwork yet to be completed this fan would have had a smile on his face though when Benji
33:16Benji Kempioka cushioned in from close range to deafen the cries of a foul in the build-up from
33:21County a quick VAR check citing minimal contact muted any and all of their pleas and they were
33:28heads once more when wing-back Eli Campbell was brandished a red card following two reckless and
33:33needless challenges inside over the 31 minutes even without the player of Manchester St Johnson
33:38were well within their groove in a second it seemed a question of when and not if it should
33:43have came earlier than it did as Kempioka skied a glorious leap and inside box but the forward
33:47made no mistake a few seconds later latching on to Matt Smith's killer cross the power has shot
33:53by Ross Laidlaw whose hand couldn't keep it out St Johnson strolled through the second half and
33:58they really should have added another tally with Kempioka Adams Obama to D-Bay and Matthew Clarke
34:03all passing up rather inviting chances quick the captain did celebrate a neat flick from close by
34:08but after a VAR check his goal was chopped off for offside as Laidlaw had rushed on it beyond
34:14and speaking of rushed on my goodness Charlie Tilbur was flashed a straight red for his dangerous
34:19tackle in the middle of the park catching Sven Strangler with his studs and then with virtually
34:25the last kick of the ball and likely the last piece of action under Kirk's stewardship his son
34:30Henry toe-poked a third in front the nearest range of the afternoon the result lifts I think as it
34:36stands the Perthshire side level on points with Kempioka who are in eighth but they remain one
34:41behind on goal difference it finishes here at MacDermid Park St Johnson 3 Ross Kempioka now
34:48oh that's incredible stuff happening at Celtic Park which we have to reflect we'll talk about
34:53that in a minute we were heading with news of a dramatic finale at Celtic Park we're going to
34:58hear from Martin Dowd in Celtic Aberdeen yeah it's full-time Celtic 2 Aberdeen 2 but what an
35:05incredible encounter this was drama right to the very end Aberdeen just surviving a late hand ball
35:12check for a penalty 10 minutes into injury time it was Duke who got there a fear shot come in
35:18the question was whether he'd handballed it the check says no and Aberdeen leave with an incredible
35:25point it really is befitting of a top of the table clash it's Aberdeen who take most of the credit
35:30two down in the first half after Rio Hitati fired home then Kyogo converted after Gavin Malloy error
35:38fell fortunately for him in truth the chances of a fight back seemed very remote then
35:42albeit Aberdeen had shown at times why they are where they are Leighton Clarkson really should
35:46have got one back from two down when one-on-one with Schmeichel he couldn't convert but it was
35:51Jimmy Thielen who made the introduction of Duke and Esther Sockler at halftime Sockler ran through
35:56almost immediately and netted in the corner to throw them a lifeline Keskinen then should have
36:01put Duke clear but it was Graeme Shinney the captain from the edge of the box he fired in
36:06the ball deflected wildly and beat Schmeichel 2-2 then a corner came in Duke bundled home that
36:13was awarded then chopped off for handball Celtic threw everything at it Aberdeen had chances on
36:18the break at the other end and then Ida had a header saved right at the death the ball came back
36:24the shot came in and Duke somehow got the ball clear what drama Celtic 2 Aberdeen 2
36:32thanks Martin well that's the end of the drama today or is it? I don't think so we're heading to Tannerdyce
36:37Cairdyn big news incredible scenes here at Tannerdyce Jim Goodwin and his backroom team were on the
36:44pitch about 50 Dundee United fans were on the pitch because United as it looks at the moment
36:50have stolen all three points in the 99th minute a nice lob from substitute Mesak Ubi Chioma after
36:57the hips keeper Joe Bursic had made a real mess of things came for a punch didn't get there it
37:03landed at the feet of Ubi Chioma on the edge of the box in fairness to him he lofted a lovely lob
37:08into the top right hand corner in off the underside of the crossbar we might be waiting for yet
37:14another VAR check to see if that goal is going to stand we've just about cleared the Dundee United
37:18fans back off the pitch and back into their end the referee is having a look now Chris Graeme
37:24with his um finger to his ear what is he going to decide here we're about to find out
37:29the Hibbs fans some of whom have left are hoping that he's going to disallow the goal otherwise
37:34they have thrown away a 2-1 lead remember they've been playing for about what 15 minutes now with
37:3810 men after their captain Joe Newell got sent off this action will probably be the last of the game
37:44we're just waiting to figure out is it a United winner or are we still 2-2 we still don't know
37:50the referee still hasn't made his call looks like it is going to stand he's saying play on so he's
37:55blown the whistle to restart the game he's allowed the goal and then the final whistle has gone
38:01closing out an extraordinary afternoon here at Tanadice it finishes Dundee United 3
38:08Hibbs 2 what a game it was level at halftime Warner Horror score at both ends an own goal
38:14first of all then a nice header to put Hibbs level just before the break then Dwight Gale's
38:21first goal for Hibbs beautifully headed down and into the net looked like that might give them
38:25their first win here since boxing day 2021 and their first win on the road in the top flight
38:30this season but no Lucas Stevenson bundled in an equalizer on 94 minutes that was 10 minutes after
38:38the Hibbs captain Joe Newell got himself sent off and then well frankly Bedlam the lovely log
38:45from Uba Choma after the mistake from Joseph Bursic in off the underside of the crossbar
38:50just about everybody but me was on the pitch they managed to get everything clear it is yet another
38:56win for Dundee United whose strong start to the season continues but it is a desperate devastating
39:02disappointing defeat yet again for Hibernian whose manager David Gray is applauding the few
39:09Hibbs fans who still remain but a week ahead of the Edinburgh Derby at Easter Road after hearts
39:15have had a huge win today not at all what David Gray needed or wanted before that Edinburgh Derby
39:22Dundee United though well they don't care they are celebrating a 3-2 win Scottish football don't
39:28you just love it I think we do don't we but that's it I mean to be honest it's easy to be
39:36confused we've got 17 goals I think I've tallied them up I think that's how many we've got goodness
39:40knows how many VAR decisions today but it's as Keridine says I mean what what afternoon it's
39:45been but we'll start with that Dundee United your former club Cammy amazing see the scenes there that
39:51is Scottish football it's brilliant to see just the way games finished Lucas Stevenson 94 minutes
39:56gets equalised subjective VAR check yes and again
