00:00Hello, good afternoon and welcome to the Results Show. We are back after the international
00:13break with a vengeance, maybe not with a vengeance, but with five matches in the Premiership and
00:18reporters at each and every one of them. And in the studio, Julie Fleeting and Cammy Bell.
00:23Welcome back both, good to see you. Scores, reports, results and reaction running till
00:27half past five or thereabouts. So let's get going. Shall we? First up, Celtic Park, the
00:33champions and league leaders at home to Hearts. Let's welcome Jane.
00:37Good afternoon to you guys. Celtic 1, Hearts 0 here. Celtic finally breaking the deadlock
00:42from the penalty spots after 52 minutes. Nicholas Kuhn, the ball in from him, judged to have
00:48hit the arm of James Penrith. The referee didn't give a penalty, first of all. He was
00:53called over though by VAR to have a look at it and he quickly changed his mind. Arnie
00:57Engels then converted for his first goal for the club and his first start for the club,
01:01kept his ball low to the right and Celtic were 1-0 up. That was frustrating times for
01:07Hearts, double frustration really because they'd done ever so well to weather the early
01:10storm and certainly in the first half. But to rub salt in the wounds, they had a penalty
01:15in the first half that was awarded and then taken off them after a VAR. This time the
01:20ball was adjudged to have hit the arm of Liam Scales. Initially, that was deemed to
01:24be handball. The referee, Colin Stephen, came over to look at the monitor after being asked
01:30to by those checking the VAR and he then changed his mind. No penalty awarded. So Celtic could
01:36have then doubled their lead after some lovely play but Engels shot agonisingly wide. Celtic
01:42leading this one by a goal to nil but I'll tell you what, Hearts have found a bit about
01:46themselves and they're not out of this game yet because they're doing a little bit of
01:49pressing. Celtic though currently with the ball but it's a slim lead for them, 1-0.
01:54Thanks Jane. Let's head to an incident-packed Paisley next. Submitting our home to Kilmarnock
02:00and Andy Bourke.
02:01Yeah, it's Submitting to Kilmarnock 2, an action-packed, an incident-packed game here
02:10in Paisley. Kilmarnock have just in the last few moments found an equaliser, a corner came
02:15in. Not sure who got the last touch, it might be an own goal but 10-man Kilmarnock are back
02:21in the game. There was two goals in the opening 11 minutes of this one. Tiosi Alessania finishing
02:27off Jadon Brown's terrific cross to give St Mirren the lead but Kilmarnock did fire back.
02:33Danny Armstrong's deflected strike finding the back of the net. St Mirren striker Mikel
02:38Mandron was perhaps fortunate to avoid a red card. He's already been booked when he caught
02:42Stuart Findlay late. He avoided a second yellow but manager Steven Robinson had seen
02:47enough and hauled the big striker off after just 19 minutes. Sage Free took the lead courtesy
02:52of a penalty. Sean Rooney's shot striking the arm of Joe Wright and after a VAR check
02:57the referee pointed to the spot and captain Mark O'Hara stepped up to slot home and make
03:03it 2-1. Joe Wright's day went from bad to worse when he was shown a red card. After
03:07another VAR check showed that he had lashed out at Sean Rooney. He was given his marching
03:12orders for violent conduct, his second red card of the season and Kelly's fourth of
03:17the campaign. So an uphill task, a goal and a man down that Kelly have not given up and
03:22they have got that equaliser and it's all to play for here in Paisley. St Mirren 2,
03:27Kilmarnock 2. Off we go to Petardrie next. Aberdeen with a 100% record so far in the
03:32league at home to Motherwell this afternoon. Hello Tyrone. Hi David, it's Aberdeen 1, Motherwell
03:370 here at Petardrie in a battle of two of the league's real form sides. Remember as
03:41you mentioned the Dons are looking to make it 10 wins from 10 games this season while
03:45the visitors are eyeing four victories in a row. The home side were very much the first
03:51to threaten when Jamie McGrath fired just wide early on but the huge Petardrie crowd
03:56were celebrating in 26 minutes when the deadlock was broken and what a goal this was. David
04:00Pappa, Habib Gueye picked the ball up deep in his own half, he burst down the left-hand
04:05side leaving a host of scrambling Motherwell players in his wake before smashing the ball
04:10in off the post into the net to give Aberdeen the lead. Honestly, wait to see this one,
04:14I doubt there'll be a better goal in Europe this weekend, it really was that good. Top
04:18draw stuff, Motherwell were decent in that first half too though without really carving
04:23out any scoring chances of note. The second half the visitors should have levelled on
04:27the hour, the ball was swung in from the right-hand side, Tony Watt, Hegar on the end of it but
04:32he headed straight into him into a meet-off either side of the keeper and that was definitely
04:35a goal. Motherwell really pouring players forward at the moment but at Petardrie it's
04:39Aberdeen 1, Motherwell 0. We're off to Easter Road next where Hibbs, still looking for the
04:44first league win of the season, are at home to St Johnston, Brian McLaughlin is watching.
04:48Good afternoon David, yeah just under 20 minutes left and it's Aberdeen 1, St Johnston 0. A
04:53hard scoreline you'd have to say on the visitors have been excellent this afternoon, the only
04:57goal coming in the stroke of half-time, a free-kick played in deep to the back post
05:01by Nicky Cardon, knocked back across goal by Ike Peteta into the path of Kuharevic who
05:06bundled the ball over the goal line. It was a check for offside but eventually the goal
05:11was given. St Johnston had dominated without creating too much you'd have to say in that
05:16first half. In the second period most of the chances have come for Hibberi and a free-kick,
05:21knocked back across goal once again to Kwon, his effort high over the crossbar. Milotnikov
05:26was sent clean through, again saved though by Sinclair and then just a few moments ago
05:31Josh Campbell on as a substitute, knocked the ball into the path of Kuharevic, his shot
05:36though just over and here's Martin Boyle on as a sub and he scored! A second goal for
05:42Hibberian. The Australian international left out of the starting eleven today as he had
05:47a sore hand after recovering with a wrist injury but he's just on the field, five minutes
05:54or so and he's doubled Hibberian's advantage. They're on course now for their first league
05:59win of the season. It's now Hibberian 2, St Johnston 0. Our next destination is Dingwall
06:05Ross County at home to Dundee, let's welcome Ian Auld. Yeah good afternoon David, 73 minutes
06:11gone here in Dingwall with the home side looked to be on course for their first Premiership
06:16win of the season. The Staggies struck early when Akio Wright headed in and Noah Shilvers
06:21corner at the Dundee back post from six yards out inside six minutes. Dundee captain and
06:27former county man Simon Murray beat his old teammate Ross Laidlaw from inside the penalty
06:32area but the flag up for offside to deny him a goal on his Highland return. County doubled
06:37their tally in first half stoppage time, Jordan White fiddled in the box and after a VAR review
06:43White stepped up to convert the spot kick. County's first successful conversion after
06:48two failed efforts so far this season. Dundee had their own penalty claim waved away in
06:53the second half, Ziad Larkesh booked for diving to the deck right under the nose of
06:58the referee Grant Turvin. 15 or so minutes to play here in Dingwall, it remains Ross
07:02County 2, Dundee 0. Thanks for watching guys, plenty of goals, plenty of action, plenty
07:08of VAR action as well. Cammy we'll start at Celtic Hearts because that's been the story,
07:12it's been the story of two handballs, one a penalty given and one overturned. Yeah there
07:18was one overturned obviously, well one that went to VAR that the referee had given for
07:23Hearts, it was a header from Shanklin from a corner and it's hit Scales on the arm and
07:29again at first glimpse when I looked at it I thought he actually hit his hand, it was
07:33far enough away, I felt as if it was far enough from Scales' body to give it but then on closer
07:37inspection it looked like it hits on his t-shirt line which wouldn't be a penalty. The ref
07:41was obviously sent over to the screen and changed his decision so I think they got that
07:45one right and then they went obviously up the other end of the pitch and it was Penrice
07:49who had his arm far enough away from his body, I think on glimpse of it as well I think it
07:53is a penalty, I think the referee, the VAR's got that one right as well. Julie what do
07:57you think, are you not allowed to protect your face anymore at football? I think the
08:01distance the ball travels for the Penrice incident I think it is a penalty, I think
08:07had he been another yard further away he's in the process of bringing his arm back in,
08:11he realises he's got his arm out from his body, he's trying to pull his arm in, he doesn't
08:17quite get there at the point of contact, his arm is away from him so yeah I think the right
08:22decision was made in the end. The risk of making a terrible pun, Hearts have made a
08:27decent fist of events at Celtic Park apart from the handball? Yeah I think we all know
08:32how good Celtic have been particularly in how they start games, I think the longest
08:39it's taken them to score has been the 17th minute so far in the five games that they've
08:42played so for Hearts to have a decent first half and to hold out and even create a couple
08:47of opportunities themselves, they'd have been pleased going in at the break but I mean we
08:52know how relentless Celtic are, the amount of possession that they've got, the chances
08:57in which they create, it really probably was only a matter of time before they got one.
09:01Well folks we're heading back to Petodja, there's been another goal and I don't really
09:05care who it's for as long as it's better than the first one, just to hear Tyrone saying
09:08Tyrone, Aberdeen Maradona. Yeah you can probably tell by the noise in the background that it's
09:13another goal for Aberdeen, it was substitute Shaden Morris, he picked the ball up on the
09:17right hand side, he played it across the face of the goal, it fell to Nicky Devlin, he had
09:22a shot which was really well saved by Aston Oxburgh but he could only parry it into the
09:27path of that man Papa Habib Gueye who headed the ball into the net from a couple of yards
09:32out to make it 2-0 Aberdeen. Thanks very much Tyrone, so his first goal was an absolute,
09:37I'm not sure if it's the best goal in Europe this weekend, it was an absolute screamer
09:41and the second one just a wee nod in from close range. Yeah I mean two goals, absolutely
09:45delighted with that, the first goal he runs from his own half, great pace on the left
09:49hand side and as he cuts into the box he gets the ball onto his right foot and he looks
09:54as if he's going to shape to go across the goalkeeper and he just pulls it to the goalkeeper's
09:58near post and in off the post, it was a great finish and the second one he probably won't
10:02score too many as easy as that but the opportunity was already created, good play out wide, decent
10:09save from the goalkeeper and it just falls into his path. Top scorer in the division
10:13now Cammy, that's five goals, what a transformation in his fortune. Incredible, again he's just
10:19on red hot form at the moment and as Julie described the first goal it was a brilliant
10:23brilliant run and again matched with a superb confident finish as well and that goal there
10:28that sealed the game for Aberdeen I would imagine was a good run down the right hand
10:32side and Nicky Devlin gets a good shot away save and he's in the right place at the time
10:36and when you're in red hot form that happens to you, you find yourselves in the right place
10:40just to put the ball on the back of it but yeah what a transformation it's been. I have to say
10:44the most incident packed game I think is the one Andy Bourke's watching in Paisley, we've
10:49had a red card, a penalty, Kelly down to 10 men and they're back in it now all square. Yeah I mean
10:56we've barely been able to take our eyes off that game since right from the first whistle I think
11:01Kilmarnock really came at St Mirren, they had an opportunity within the first minute or so when
11:06Vassell goes down the left hand side and when St Mirren go ahead, get the first goal it was against
11:12the run of play because Kilmarnock had really started the game exceptionally well but there
11:17has been, there's been a couple incidents where we've kind of felt that St Mirren could have been
11:23down to 10 men even 9. How so? Rooney in particular I think he has a kick out at Vassell, he's on the
11:32ground it looks as if the referee's already blown his whistle for a free kick and he kicks
11:37Vassell twice in the leg but I mean certainly they did have a look at it in VAR because the play was
11:44delayed and I don't understand why. I think it tells its own story as well when Mandrone's getting
11:50subbed by his own manager after 25 minutes again he throws an elbow, gets a yellow card for it and
11:55goes into a crazy challenge for me and it should have been the second yellow card and as soon as
12:00he's done that Stephen Robinson said enough's enough, he knew he was running the risk of getting sent off
12:04and he brought him off and subbed him. More chat coming up but right now let's head to Airdrie
12:09in the championship this afternoon let's hear what's happening there from Gullysingh.
12:15Yes David it's Falkirk 2, Airdrie 0. The away side really should be more than two goals up here
12:20it took around the 17 minute mark for John McGlenside to take the lead. Sean Mackey's
12:26point-blank effort saved magnificently by Murray Johnson in the Airdrie goal. The ball lands to
12:31the feet of Dylan Tate just outside the box he picked the spot from around 25 yards out drilled
12:36it in the top right hand corner an unbelievable effort. Sean Mackey then a few minutes later
12:41peeled away at the back post to swap home for 2-0. It's just been a barrage of attacks from Falkirk
12:46but all three points are going to the away side it's Falkirk 2, Airdrie 0.
12:522-0 for the Bairns on that one, the Bairns are barnstorming the division, nearly got it.
12:58It'd be brilliant, they've started the season fantastically as we've spoken about this before
13:03just took off where they left last season winning games of football that confidence
13:07again John McGlynn's kept the team together, I did a couple but yeah they've had a fantastic
13:13start to the season which is incredible because you don't get a runner normally in the
13:18championship it's really difficult to get a run of wins together and that could be the decision
13:23that actually pushes them on towards the top of the table. Yeah interesting stuff there back to
13:28the Premiership in Ross County not a great start to the season looking for the first win but it
13:32looks as though they're on course to do it against a Dundee team that have been banging for them.
13:36Yeah I think the way the game has gone Ross County have been quite comfortable I think that
13:42first goal it was a great header and then they've kind of grown as the game's gone on
13:47and they obviously got the penalty as well just before half time a great time to score
13:53the worst time I think to concede a goal you don't want to go in at that point and yeah it
13:59looks like it's been comfortable enough for them Dundee we know have been on incredible form
14:04they've continued from how they had done last season yes they've lost a player who was really
14:09important to them and in the window but they certainly get enough quality in their team to
14:14kind of continue that rain of form. Hibs on course for the first one of the season as well
14:18Cammy a couple of goals there. Yeah desperately needed as well I felt that before the game started
14:23that was one they needed to win just to get the confidence back again I feel as if David
14:29Green needed that first victory and it looks like it's going to come today. Right then we are
14:34heading back to the championship now and to Somerset Park home of Air United they're at home
14:38to Partick Thistle this afternoon and let's welcome Chick Young to proceedings. Thanks David
14:45yeah and as you join me it's Air United have lost their place as we stand at the top of the
14:50championship table they're tying 1-1 with Partick Thistle at the moment it was Air United who took
14:56the lead with a penalty kick after 22 minutes Anton Dowd's it was a real bad mistake by Arne
15:02Ured no danger no pressure he'd handled the ball inside the box you could tell by the guilty look
15:07he'd done it penalty awarded Dowd's took it dreadful effort but the goalkeeper Myles Roberts
15:12had come off his line retake for Dowd's salvation for him he stuck it away and Air were one nil
15:18ahead at half time but there's been an equaliser since then Harry Milne with a fine header ball
15:24in from the left hand side and I have to say that Jack McIntyre in the Air United goal was
15:29absolutely transfixed as Harry Milne just headed the ball beyond him and into his net 1-1 at the
15:36moment a crowd of in excess of 3,100 inside Somerset Park is a chance saved at the back there
15:44by Air United it's still going for the winner it's exciting stuff and it's 1-1 at Somerset
15:50Park between Air United and Partick Thistle thanks very much Chick Air United league leaders there
15:55but it looks as though Partick Thistle hold in their own after their first win just a couple
15:59of weeks ago yeah I think they were slow to start the season Partick Thistle certainly
16:04slow to slow to score goals as well but their last game that was more like the Partick Thistle
16:10that we had thought we were going to see this season and yeah the fact that they're making a
16:15game of it against an Ayrside who have started the game the season really well and that was a
16:21big game for them this afternoon and they'll want something from it more from Tyrone Smith next we're
16:26heading to Aberdeen the Dons at home to Motherwell another goal Tyrone yeah last time he came to me
16:31I think I was saying it looked like it was game over well it looks like it's game on now that's
16:35because Motherwell have just pulled the goal back ball was played in low from the right hand side
16:40it was Moses Abaye he stuck a toe out to prod it into the net at the back post to give the
16:47Steelmen a lifeline at Potaudrie but it's now Aberdeen 2 Motherwell 1 well so maybe the game's
16:52not done and dusted for the Dons after all Julie Motherwell back in it no and I think that'll
16:56really give Motherwell a lift to get that goal back it's going to make it more of a game
17:03certainly for the the last part of it and Aberdeen will really need to hold out because I mean they've
17:08Aberdeen's results so far this season have been incredible to be going into their 10th game
17:15not just unbeaten but having won all the games is an incredible record when you consider where they
17:20were last season now a wee bit of Friday night action now Friday night floodlights football
17:26Fife fabulous live championship football returned to BBC Scotland last night with a derby not just
17:32any derby but one featuring the two teams at the bottom of the table Dunfermline against
17:38Wraith Rovers Cammie a first win of the season for Dunfermline and I think on the balance of play
17:45they deserved it yeah they did but again this decision here obviously plays a huge part in the
17:49outcome of the game Hugh Murray it's just a ball over the top Chris Kane does ever so well just to
17:53chase it down make it difficult a bit of confusion between the goalkeeping and defenders he ends up
17:58pushing Kane over and for a goal scoring opportunity and he's sent his marching orders probably rightly
18:04so in my view that he is and Dunfermline took absolute advantage of that as well they were
18:09really good on the night again this goal here very very fortunate but something they probably needed
18:14needed a little bit of fortune it's been a tough start for James McPain at Dunfermline huge
18:20expectations because they're a big big club so it was a big game for him last night and he'll be
18:25delighted to get you can see he's absolutely delighted there Julie yeah you can and I think
18:29when you're the pressure is always on when you're playing against 10 players for such a long time but
18:34this goal here David Witherspoon just cutting into his right foot and the minute he cuts in
18:39he can see that it's opened up for him in front of goal he's got a massive area to hit and it's
18:44a perfect finish and certainly a more comfortable end to the game getting that two goal cushion
18:49I was listening to the commentary that last night and I think Al and Michael Stewart were saying
18:52nothing the goalkeeper could have done about that do you think maybe he could have got a hand to it?
18:56Listen Julie actually mentioned it to me again that potentially the goalkeeper can read it as
19:01soon as Witherspoon cuts into his right foot can you can you move your feet and have it anticipate
19:05that shot's going to go there but listen it's maybe a bit harsh on Dubrovsky and goals for Rafe
19:09right then ahead we're going to head to Celtic Park now there has been an incident of note Jane
19:14Lewis is going to regale us with events at Celtic Park yeah that incident note would be a goal for
19:20Celtic they made it a bit more comfy now because hearts were piling on the pressure and I tell you
19:24what it's been a day off our first starters getting on the score sheet because of course
19:28Arnie Engels did it on 52 minutes and a similar deadline day signing Luke McCowan has come on the
19:35park and he has made it 2-0 to Celtic lovely back cut back from James Forrest and Luke McCowan
19:41end off the post Craig Gordon thought he'd got a hand to it but as I say the ball end off the post
19:46and just seeing a replay of it now a good finish just from the end of the box first start for him
19:50first goal as well in Celtic shirt I should say 2-0 to Celtic there we go it looks as though Celtic's
19:56100% record is going to continue with a convincing win over Hearts in the end
20:00yeah I think it was just moments earlier that Hearts had a couple of promising attacks
20:04but that's just the way of Celtic is that they can be clinical if you give them the opportunity
20:10when the ball drops to Luke McCowan it's on his left foot he guides it towards the goal and
20:15probably I mean if we're being critical you would think Craig Gordon should probably get a stronger
20:20hand on it he gets a hand and then it goes in off the post but he's made some great saves this
20:25afternoon Craig Gordon and I think that's one he'll probably be disappointed in considering
20:30his own standards two goals for the two new starts Cammy yeah again positive signs from Celtic
20:36they've been they've been so good this season and again just adding Luke McCowan in the
20:39in the window there towards the end of the window that's another player they can call on because
20:43they're going to have so many games coming up we know they've got the European game this week so
20:47Brendan Rodgers are now it's 2-0 probably off half an eye on that game on Wednesday night
20:51what did you make of the big signing big money signing Ingles taking the penalty Julie yeah it
20:57looked just when they had won the penalty it looked as if there was a bit of a discussion
21:02between Calum McGregor, Hatate who I think is probably the normal penalty taker but it was
21:08maybe I think Ingles has had he's had a few opportunities he's looked really really sharp
21:13it looks like he's going to be a quality player for Celtic and possibly Calum McGregor just kind
21:18of saying he could be doing we getting off the mark and he's Celtic career and he slotted the
21:24ball away really nicely and now to have Luke McCowan players you just want to come in and hit
21:29the ground running it's a difficult team to get into and the Celtic side because there's so much
21:34quality within their squad and for those two players to get goals and then it'll do a lot
21:40for the confidence within the squad. Tell you what guys you sit back and relax for a minute or
21:45two while I run through the trails in fact we're not going to run through the trails it's all
21:49happening this afternoon so exciting we're heading to Paisley Andy Bourke has news St Mirren against
21:55Kilmarnock and it might just be a late winner for St Mirren James Scott the substitute has come up
22:03with a big goal just as the clock ticked beyond the 90 minute mark the ball was delivered from a
22:09corner bobbing around the box and Scott managed to get the final touch to prod at home from close
22:14range so late in the day it looks like no way back from Kilmarnock they've got about two minutes of
22:19stoppage time to save themselves but at the moment the buddies are heading for the three points and
22:24just as I say that David there is a VAR check going on for a possible foul in the build-up so
22:31hold your horses St Mirren may not be over the line yet I'll get back to you. We'll count on that
22:38Andy Bourke but right now we're getting back to Jane Lewis at Celtic Park the champions against
22:42Hearts do you have another goal Jane? I do have another goal and it's a well a new-ish signing
22:46of course Adam Ida was here wasn't he last season but he's rejoined the club yet and he
22:51has added time he's added a third goal for Celtic I should say eight minutes were added on in this
22:58one a time for Celtic to make it a lot more comfy and they've just done that Adam Ida racing into
23:02the box a lovely ball played to him at his feet and just a touch into the back of the nets
23:07and Celtic 3-0 up. As promised more from Andy Bourke now on that goal has it survived the VAR check Andy?
23:14It has not David it remains St Mirren 2 Comarnock 2 and the Comarnock fans behind the goal are going
23:21nuts because they've had the reprieve the goal chopped off by James Scott for a foul in the
23:26build-up and let me tell you Derek McInnes was giving it large to the St Mirren fans who had
23:30been taunting him when the ball hit the back of the net he's got the last laugh for the moment
23:35Kelly it's still on level terms here with about a minute to go Comarnock it's a minute to Comarnock 2
23:40Thanks very much Andy now we're going to hear from Brian McLaughlin Hibbs against St Johnson
23:44Brian? No goals but a red card here and it's come for Ben Kimpioka the Saints striking for a high
23:50challenge on Jordan Obita a quick VAR check there but Nick Walsh adamant it was a red card and it
23:56was and it stands it's now Hibernian 2 St Johnson 0 as we go into four minutes of added on time
24:03Thanks very much Brian we are heading back to Celtic Park now Jane an update
24:06It was 3-0 it's now 2-0 David a VAR check has ruled that Adam Ida's goal was
24:11offside so Celtic still leading this one but only by two goals to nil Ida's goal ruled for offside
24:17My goodness it's all happening we have to talk we have to talk about that incident at St Mirren
24:22right at the death the goal chopped off for a foul by James Scott in the build-up rightly so
24:28justice done and seemed to be done? Yeah I think so I think the referee hadn't given it and he was
24:34called over to the monitor and I think in the end yes the right decision but probably Comarnet would
24:39be disappointed with their defending they'd have opportunities to clear the ball and it fell to
24:44James Scott it's a bit of a warning for them. Full time's beginning to drip through now the first of
24:49which comes from Tyrone Smith at Pataudry Aberdeen against Motherwell. Yeah David it's finished
24:55Aberdeen 2 Motherwell 1 that's the result which means it's now 10 wins from 10 games for Jimmy
25:02Tolleen's side this season the home support they were screaming for a penalty early on in the
25:06opening minutes when a kiss couldn't cross looked like it may have struck Liam Gordon's arm but the
25:09ref and crucially the VAR disagreed the dons they went close moments later though some really neat
25:15build-up play ended with Jamie McGrath pitching a low shot just wide from 10 yards out but they
25:20did score in the 26th minute an absolute worldie of a goal from Papa Habib Gueye he collected the
25:27ball on the left hand side deep in his own half and he danced and jinxed his way down the wing
25:31giving Motherwell's defenders a few nightmares along the way before cutting inside and smashing
25:35the ball into the net to give the hosts the lead Aberdeen had the better of a first half which the
25:40Steelmen though still offered plenty without working Don's keeper Dimitar Mitov. Aberdeen were the first
25:46to threaten in the second half Slobodan Rubasic heading just over from an anti-Palaversa corner
25:53Motherwell almost levelled on the hour though and Tony Watt headed straight at Mitov from five yards
25:58out the striker may look back at that and feel he could have done a little bit better with that
26:02opportunity at the other end a Palaversa long range shot was tipped wide by Aston Oxburgh. Aberdeen
26:08though doubled their advantage on 82 minutes Oxburgh did really well to save a Nicky Devlin
26:13shot with the ball it fell to Papa Habib Gueye who this time had the easiest of tasks to head in
26:18from a couple of yards out but the Steelmen they weren't done and they pulled one back in 88 minutes
26:23when Moses Ebiye tapped the ball into the net at the back post and then moments later he was within
26:30inches of levelling a curling shot which went just wide. Mitov then produced a wonder save to tip
26:36Liam Gordon's goal bound effort wide but the Dons they hung on at Petaudry were in front of a bumper
26:41crowd of 17,155 that's finished Aberdeen 2 Motherwell 1. We're off to Dingwall now full
26:48time in the game between Ross County and Dundee in a first win of the Premiership season for the
26:52home side Ian. Yeah David full time Ross County 2 Dundee 0. Ross County pick up their first
26:59Premiership win of the campaign
27:00Oh we've lost Ian there I think we are going to head to St Mirren again Andy Burke do you have news
27:12has that game reached its conclusion? It has David full time here in Paisley St Mirren 2
27:19Kilmarnock 2 where to start with this one it was feisty it was ferocious and it was utterly
27:25absorbing from start to finish the home side struck first when Jadon Brown's terrific cross
27:31from the left was nodded home by Tiosi Alessandria but Kelly were back on terms soon after Danny
27:37Armstrong's deflected strike finding the back of the net two goals in the opening 11 minutes really
27:43set the tone. St Mirren striker Michael Mandron was perhaps fortunate to avoid a red card he
27:47had already been booked for a dangerous elbow and then moments later he caught Stuart Finlay
27:53with a crazy challenge but avoided that second yellow card but manager Stephen Robinson wasn't
27:58taking any chances he hauled the big striker off after just 19 minutes and Century took the lead
28:04courtesy of a penalty Sean Rooney's shot striking the arm of Joe Wright and after a VAR check the
28:09referee pointed to the spot and captain Mark O'Hara rolled the ball home to make it 2-1 and Joe
28:16Wright's day went from bad to worse when he was shown a red card again after a VAR check showed
28:21he'd lashed out at Rooney so he was giving his marching orders for violent conduct his second
28:27red card of the season and Kelly's disciplinary problems continue that's their fourth red card
28:33of the campaign already but despite that despite being a man down and a goal down Kelly stayed in
28:38the fight and they got their equaliser a corner delivered into the box and the ball found its way
28:42into the net the last touch coming off Jonah Iunga for an own goal to make it 2-2. St Mirren thought
28:49they'd snatched victory in stoppage time when James Scott prodded the ball home from close range
28:54the St Mirren fans were going wild but it was chopped off after yet another VAR check spotted
29:00a foul in the build-up an enthralling game with which both sides could have won both sides could
29:05have lost but in the end they settled for a point apiece full time in Paisley St Mirren 2 Cormarnock 2
29:11Let's head to Easter Road now and hear once again from Brian McLaughlin a burning against St Johnson
29:16three points for the home side Brian yeah their first win here at Easter Road in the league for
29:21this season anyway and it was just about deserved you'd have to say the opening goal coming just on
29:26the stroke of half time after St Johnson did arguably had the best of the opening 45 minutes
29:31a free kick played in by Nicky Cadden knocked back across goal by Iqbuteta and it was bundled over
29:36the line by Kuharevic with the final touch much better though from Hibernian in the second period
29:43particularly when they made a trio of substitutions bringing on Josh Campbell junior
29:47Hoylet and Martin Boyle and it was Boyle who scored the second goal that sealed the victory
29:53Nicky Cadden with the through ball Boyle using his electric pace taking him away from the Saints
29:58defence and then clipping the ball over the outstretched arms of the St Johnson goalkeeper
30:03Ross Sinclair Boyle came close to adding a third for Hibernian a second for his own
30:09wonderful play on the edge of the box shot shooting the ball just wide off the target and
30:13then junior Hoylet also came close but then in the final minute of the match 10 men St Johnson
30:20were reduced to 10 men when Ben Kempioka a really reckless challenge on Jordan Ibita rounding off a
30:26miserable day for Saints it's finished here at Easter Road a happy Easter Road for a change this
30:31season Hibernian 2 St Johnston 0. I think the home fans will be happy at Celtic Park as well another
30:37three points for them Jane Lewis against Hearts this afternoon yes Celtic 2 Hearts 0 it finished
30:43here a tale of two penalties two hand balls one given one not after VAR checks it was an
30:48entertaining first half where Hearts did really well actually to weather the early storm after
30:53efforts from Kiyoko and Engles who was making his first start and then came that first VAR
30:58interjection that I mentioned just at the start of this report Hearts started to get back into the
31:03game and thought they were given a chance to open the scoring a penalty was awarded to Hearts
31:07after Liam Scales was deemed to have handled the ball the referee Colin Stephen was then asked to
31:12review the incident by those in the VAR office he then changed his mind because he felt that Scales
31:18arm was in a natural position and the ball hadn't traveled far enough and in any case that the ball
31:23seemed to hit in the sleeve level so no penalty was given the Celtic continued to dominate creating
31:29chances Craig Gordon in the first half was kept really busy actually and really kept his side in
31:33it in the second half was Celtic were quick out the traps and that second hand ball moment in
31:38which VAR intervened that came after 52 minutes it was a Nicholas Coon who played the ball in
31:44and hit off the arm of James Penrith the referee didn't give it but then was called over to have
31:49a look at it and then after he saw more evidence he awarded the penalty Arnie Engles converted
31:55low to the right his first start for Celtic and his first goal for Celtic as well that was
31:59frustrating for Hearts because of the earlier incident I spoke about but the heads didn't go
32:03down the tails were still up and they were still in this one and I have to say that it was a
32:09brilliant chance a few minutes just before the end of the game Moussa Dramme certainly had a
32:16brilliant chance but the Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was called into action and he produced
32:22a good good save to keep Dramme out Celtic then made it more comfy on 88 minutes Luke McEwan
32:28another player on for his first start another player to grab his first goal in the hoops and
32:33yeah he will have enjoyed that one Celtic fans going home will have enjoyed this one too that's
32:37now six wins in all competitions on the bounce Hearts now seven games without a win losing in
32:45fact those six games in the league they'll have taken plenty of positives from this one though
32:50despite losing here by two goals to nil time for Chick Young with some championship chat now he was
32:56watching Air United the leaders at home to Partick Thistle this afternoon how did it finish Chick
33:00finish 1-1 David and Air United I mean knocked off the top of the championship table tonight
33:05because of Falkirk's triumph finished here one each Anton Dowd scored a penalty after 22 minutes
33:12it was a it was a crazy penalty to give away Adam Muirhead handled with no pressure on him
33:17whatsoever he looked a very guilty look when the penalty was awarded
33:20Dowd's took it and made an absolute hash of it to be honest Miles Roberts Roberts had been
33:26judged to come off the line there was a retaking Dowd's stuck the second attempt away to give
33:30Air United a half-time lead but Nikolajzer and probably deserved Nikolajzer came from
33:35Partick Thistle moved down the left and Harry Milne with a fabulous header actually just beyond
33:41the goalkeeper Jack McIntyre who was stuck to the spot and just watched it
33:45agonizingly go over his head and into the path post to give Thistle and Nikolajzer and a share
33:50of the points here they did I think they deserved it there were over 3100 inside the ground it was
33:55an exciting end-to-end football match but probably a split was absolutely fair finished here at
34:01Somerset Park Air United 1 Partick Thistle 1 Chick's kind of spoiled the surprise of the outcome
34:06involving Falkirk never mind they were away to Hairdry this afternoon Gullysingh can provide
34:11the details yes Falkirk 2 Hairdry 0 the Falkirk steam train continues on with our fifth win from
34:18five in the Scottish Championship which takes them top of the table as Chick mentioned with
34:22a game to spare after events in air the last occasion the sides met Hairdry inflicted a
34:26heavy defeat as they advanced to the league one playoff final however the story here today a very
34:32different tale Falkirk's Ross McKeever sent a signal of intent early on with a header which
34:36glanced off the post on seven minutes before Alfie Aggeman spurned a series of chances
34:41after the hour mark including a header cleared off the line as Airdrie survived Calvin Miller
34:46went bearing down on goal the best chance of the first half that was just before halftime
34:50after a looping ball split the Diamonds defence his effort lashed straight at Murray Johnson
34:55the Bairns then hit the post twice in the second half followed up by a Brad Spencer corner which
35:00clipped the bar but then on 72 minutes the Diamonds defence was finally breached after
35:05Sean Mackey's point-blank effort was expertly saved by Murray Johnson before the ball was
35:09cleared into the path of Dylan Tate just outside the box he picked a spot with pinpoint precision
35:14to give Murray Johnson no chances Falkirk finally took the lead and deservedly so then on 80 minutes
35:20Sean Mackey in the mix again as he peeled away at the back post to slot home for 2-0 with all
35:25three points sealed for yet another win to maintain Falkirk's 100 percent Scottish
35:30championship records it's ended here Airdrie now Falkirk 2 fancy a wee detour to the English
35:36Premier League folks good because we're going to get one anyway we can get details of today's
35:40lunchtime kickoff Southampton against Manchester United provided by Alistair Bruce Ball
35:47it was another one of those painful Premier League lessons for Southampton on top for the
35:51first half hour of this one Manchester United were looking a little lost Diogo Dalot dived in
35:56on 18 year old Tyler Dibbling to concede a penalty but Andre Inanna guessed correctly
36:00to deny Cameron Archer from the spot and the whole game turned on its head less than 10 minutes later
36:05Manchester United were 2-0 up thanks to sloppy Southampton defending at set pieces
36:09Matthias De Ligt deftly guiding a header in for United's first then Marcus Rashford was allowed
36:13to shoot through a crowded penalty area and he picked his spot perfectly to beat Aaron Ramsdale
36:18Southampton never managed to recreate what they had in that first half hour United cruised to
36:22their win in the second half to make matters worse for Southampton Jack Stevens given a straight
36:27red card for a crude cynical challenge on Alejandro Garnacho and was the Argentine winger who had the
36:33last laugh scoring in the last minute of added time from Diogo Dalot's cutback four games played
36:39four defeats for Southampton Ipswich at home next week feels like a big game for them it does indeed

40:21Let's have a look at the teams in the table starting with the Premiership
40:26there we go Celtic and Aberdeen 15 points from five games that's 100% records for both of those
40:33clubs congratulations Dundee United in third Horse Rangers in fourth tomorrow at the bottom of the
40:39table look at that Comarnock second bottom Hearts at the foot of the table after that
40:44defeat at Celtic Park this afternoon Ross County in ninth first one of the season for them just
40:49behind Ibbs who also managed their first three-pointer of the new term let's head to the
40:55championship table as Gully mentioned there Falkirk steam train keeps on going they've steamed
41:02their way to the top of the table a point ahead of Air United with a game in hand congratulations
41:07to the Bairns Wraith Rovers after that defeat to Dunfermline last night they are rock bottom of
41:14the table levelling points though with Morton here is how League One is shaping up in the early days
41:20of the season Aloe Athletic and Queen of the South levelling points at the top 10 points
41:26from six games for both of them at the bottom are both three adrift of Dumbarton
41:33League Two table looks like this Peterhead four points clear a good early lead for them
41:38they're four ahead of East Fife at the top Stranraer, Edinburgh City and Clyde all three ahead
41:44of bottom club Forfar at the foot of the table there we go what an interesting day today has
41:52proven to be especially at the top of the premiership two teams now with 100% records Celtic
42:00and Aberdeen blazing a trail Julie yeah I mean I suppose you could probably say it's not surprising
42:06that Celtic are in the position that they're in but certainly for Aberdeen to have a new
42:12head coach coming in to really hit the ground running right away to be putting in performances
42:17that they have been doing the results have been excellent they've got players who have been
42:21completely born yeah yeah you could say that and to have that in the team it just shows you
42:28especially as a striker it just shows you that if a new coach comes in and they give you a bit of
42:32confidence that the difference that can make to your game I think that's one of the most important
42:36things as a striker in front of goal is having that confidence and certainly must be getting that
42:41yeah a couple of wins first wins of the season for Hibbs and also for Ross County yeah two teams
42:48that especially Hibbs for me today being at home against St Johnstone probably a lot of teams before
42:52the season started probably would put St Johnstone in a relegation battle and so that's probably one
42:57that David Gray really needed to get over the line was that that victory today and Martin Boyle
43:02coming on and just making sure they were comfortable going in towards the end of the game
43:06again he's such an important player for Hibbs he has been over the years gets that second goal and
43:10just calms them down they need to kick on from there but Ross County as well a huge huge win for
43:15them especially against a Dundee team that we know have been very very good in recent weeks
43:20and so Don Cowie will be absolutely delighted with the three points yeah Don Cowie will be delighted
43:24you said the county had been playing well despite results now they've got that result that they
43:28needed yeah I think sometimes you have to be patient you're building a new squad and what
43:32Ross County have unfortunately every season they seem to have a bit of turnover of players because
43:39they bring in players and who do really well for them at the club and they're attracted by
43:44and kind of bigger moves bigger clubs bigger contracts and but certainly he seems confident
43:50in the players that he's got in the dressing room he's been patient he's had a feeling that this
43:55result's going to be coming and I mean it's a very very good Dundee side it's a side that we talk
44:01about week in week out and the quality that they have but for me Ross County deserved those three
44:06points I think they were really strong throughout the 90 minutes and it was quite comfortable for
44:11them in the end. I'm going to give you guys a wee bit of time now to gather your thoughts for the
44:14remainder of the program while I run through a wee look at the trails here's what's coming up folks
44:19for your delectation we have the premiership highlights
