00:08It is the fruit of the hard work of the city that promotes sustainable tourism.

00:21The new city, Negros Occidental, has entered the Top 100 2024 Green Destination Stories.

00:27In the next three years, the new city, Negros Occidental, will be included in the list of Top 100 Green Destination Stories,

00:36an international platform that recognizes the initiatives of cities that promote sustainable tourism.

00:43According to Bagos City Senior Tourism Operations Officer May Ann Furtos,

00:48their story is about regenerative agritourism, cultivating a sustainable future for Bagos City,

00:54which is included in the list under the Environment and Climate category.

00:59This is an affirmation that the efforts of not just the LGU, but most especially of the communities,

01:05of our farmers, local producers, and all other stakeholders is paying off.

01:12As we had told in our story, regenerative agritourism, cultivating a sustainable future for Bagos City.

01:18It is also part of the story of how it helped to improve the economy of the city

01:23and how climate-positive tourism strengthened the communities.

01:28It also boosted the ability of farmers towards sustainable tourism

01:32through the triple-bottom line that they give to the planet, humanity, and the environment.

01:39This three-year streak of international recognition is not just a testament to our work,

01:45it's the result of the collective aspirations and strong collaboration among all our stakeholders.

01:52Together, we are driving sustainable tourism forward.

01:55Booming Green Agritourism, or BAGO, became a way for the farmers of Bagos City to become agripreneurs.

02:03The Booming Green Farm Tours, Farmer's Weekend Market, and Gastronomy Tourism

02:08paved the way for Bagos City to become the main destination of agritourism in the country.
