00:26in the strict monitoring of the mines in their respective areas.

00:30This is in response to the arrest of some illegal foreigners who claim to be mining minerals in Paracale, Camarines Norte.

00:39According to the DNR, small-scale mines are destroyed in nature.

00:46The agency's personnel is limited, so assistance is needed to monitor it.

00:53The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has called for a disaster reduction strategy

01:00to reduce the economic losses of the disaster.

01:04This is part of the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and Mitigation 2024.

01:12The use of artificial intelligence in the detection and monitoring of calamities was given.

01:19The solution to recover quickly from calamities is also being discussed.

01:24According to the Office of the Civil Defense, 250 people were killed in the disaster in 2022.

01:32Ninety of them were natural hazards.

01:35The Asian Development Bank and the World Bank are now encouraging the use of the insurance mechanism
