00:00What's up guys, let's talk about the me 12t. It's been a while since we talked about
00:04This phone here and it's a pretty good phone here still training for around five six hundred dollars
00:10Basically, you know pretty much like a flagship to your phone
00:14And yeah, I absolutely love this phone here. I use the IR blaster a lot. That's why you know, I really like this phone
00:21Because a lot of manufacturers don't put IR blasters in their devices these days
00:27So you can use this to control all the TVs in your house air conditioners all that good stuff and it's really awesome
00:33So I think it's a really underrated feature here
00:36So let's talk about the software experience because I think that's one of the main things that a lot of people were concerned about is
00:42me UI so this is running the me UI 13 on here and
00:48So far, it's been pretty smooth experience again me
00:51Ui is not my favorite skin, you know out of all the skins, but they do have some things that I really like in me UI
00:59but overall since you know a few years back it used to be really glitchy and
01:04Laggy and stuff like that and they fix a lot of that now
01:08A lot of people don't like sort of like the ads and sort of like the applications that they put on here and stuff like that
01:14I'm assuming that's how Xiaomi is able to make their phone so cheap
01:18But again doesn't bother me that much you just kind of uninstall them
01:22But I totally understand where people are coming from with the software experience. I think you know over the years. It's been pretty good
01:29Pretty clean, you know looking interface. So again, I'm not like a hater of the interfaces a ton of additional features
01:37It's sort of like, you know when you are we just have like a ton of stuff you can play around with and stuff like
01:41That so that's one thing that I really like if you really want to get into, you know
01:45Changing settings and stuff like that
01:47Also guys this phone performance wise. It's pretty good. I'm actually really impressed with this MediaTek chip on here
01:55It's the 8100 ultra chip on here and it performs
01:59Pretty solid here when it comes to gaming the base model one here is 128 gigs and 8 gigs of RAM on here
02:07But what's pretty cool on here is that you actually have 90 frames on pub G
02:12So the gaming experience is pretty cool
02:14On this phone, not only that but you know quality mobile and pretty much any other game out there, right?
02:20It works really well on this phone. So I was really happy with you know, the optimization
02:27For this Dimensity chip not only that but this phone
02:31Surprisingly is super super cool
02:34Just when gaming compared to these Snapdragon chipsets
02:38It definitely does not it feels like it doesn't get as high it could be this specific phone
02:43I said, I don't I don't deal with a ton of you know, these MediaTek chips
02:48But yeah, I was really surprised at just how you know
02:51Cool the phone stays when gaming and just how consistent performance is on this phone
02:56So performance is definitely one thing that I thought was pretty good here. You guys can see
03:02The geekbench 4 is on here as well, too
03:05So you can sort of see what you're working with here
03:09So I thought you know overall this is a pretty you know, it's a pretty fast chip
03:13I have no issues with it just sort of flies in and out of
03:17Applications which is something that I really like next would definitely be the display on here. It's a pretty good display
03:24So it is a 6.67 inch amoled display. It's HDR 10 plus as well, too
03:30And honestly, it's fantastic when it comes to the colors
03:36Pretty good screen-to-body ratio on here as well, too. And it's technically a 2k display or the resolution
03:42It is, you know, technically a 1220 by 2712 display. So not quite 1440p
03:50So I would say, you know 1080p plus right?
03:53But yeah, overall the display on here is fine. 120 Hertz is great on here colors all that good stuff
03:59It's fairly bright as well, too. And yeah, I have no issues with the panel on here
04:05Also one thing that I thought stood out with this phone was actually the speakers on here. So

04:39Really solid bass on here better based in a lot of phones
04:44You know a lot of these mid-range phones or not mid-range
04:47But a lot of phones in the five six and a lot of price point this has actually really good bass quality on it

04:58Even better when you put it down you can really hear the you know the bass on here
05:11So it kind of reminds me of the LG g7 a little bit

05:16It just excellent speakers is one thing that I noticed you also have very fast
05:21Fingerprint scanner on here and the face unlock is pretty fast as well, too
05:25I so this phone does have a pretty good camera a setup here. It's got a 108 megapixel standard
05:31So it takes some very high resolution shots 8 megapixel ultra wide and a 2 megapixel macro
05:36I would have liked to seen instead of the macro camera like a dedicated telephoto lens
05:42You know, I don't think the macro is that good on this phone, honestly
05:46So maybe with the next edition, I would just take the macro out just put it, you know
05:50A telephoto lens in there honestly shoots in 4k 30, which it really needs to be shooting in 4k 60
05:57As well and then 20 megapixel selfie cam that only shoots in 1080p 60 again
06:03We'll like to see 4k 60 for that as well, too
06:07Now if we're just talking about the raw image quality on this phone, I think it's fine
06:12I think it takes some actually some really good shots on here pretty good color pretty good low-light performance on here
06:19So for the price, you know, I didn't have any real complaints good dynamic range good color
06:25It can do a bit of like skin brightening on the face or skin softening
06:29But you can sort of you know, tweak the settings because it's pretty much targeted towards its region
06:35You know that it's being sold in so I totally understand that
06:39Portrait shots are pretty solid on this device as well too. So overall it's an overall pretty good camera for the most part
06:46I think it takes some pretty nice crispy shots on here for sure
06:50but let me know what do you guys think of these shots on the 12t and
06:55Video on here. It's also pretty solid too. Like I said, I just wish it shot in higher resolution or higher frames per second
07:03But yeah, so overall I think the cameras are definitely fine on this device
07:07Alright, so next is the build quality here. So this is actually a really solid well-built phone
07:12I just think and I'll just get it wiped down real quick
07:15I just think this is not the most like it's kind of a boring design a little bit now that I've had it just compared
07:21to other phones, it's a nice-looking phone, but
07:25Coming from Xiaomi Xiaomi usually goes for like this color and it might it might just be the color
07:29It's not a huge fan of this color. It just picks up fingerprints or smudges like crazy
07:35But the design does feel really solid when here is something that you know, I really like
07:43But overall, like I said very comfortable to hold in the hand and I don't I think
07:49Maybe I wish is I wish this was in like a white color or something like that
07:52I think it will look much better
07:53But this sort of dark blue color sort of as you can see sort of changes, you know, I think it's okay
07:59I think the star of the show with this phone is actually
08:03The charger in the battery life the battery life is phenomenal on this phone. It's actually really really good
08:09It's a 5,000 milliamp battery, but check this out guys this phone charges in with the box guys with the box
08:17It has a hundred twenty watt charger in the box
08:22Absolutely nuts it can go from this is what they advertise zero to a hundred and nineteen minutes
08:29And this thing charges crazy crazy fast guys and I do mean like it's like ridiculously fast
08:36So it's always like using this phone if you've never had like a crazy charging speeds like this
08:42I'm telling you man. You plug this in for like five minutes go to a bathroom
08:46I'm telling you man. You get a lot of juice back man
08:50Even if you don't like to let it sit there and charge to full
08:52I'm telling you get tons of juice on this phone
08:55So it just feels like one the phone is really not hard
08:59It's not easy to kill right and then also it charges crazy fast
09:04So I think that's my favorite thing about this phone just like boom
09:08Like it feels like it's never you can never like you're not worried about battery life
09:13It's kind of hard to explain because you know the phone you use it
09:15It's gonna go down, but you just plugged in so it's like it's like the phone
09:18It's just never you never worry about battery life with this phone because it charges so fast
09:24That's pretty much it so I absolutely like it like I said I use it for IR blaster. I think it's really dope for that
09:32Overall, it's just like extremely solid phone performance wise like I said these MediaTek chips are actually pretty good
09:37So I'm gonna look into these chips a little bit more because very efficient with power not heating up like these snapdragon chips
