00:00This is the brand new real me gt6. It's the first GT series phone
00:05We've had from these guys in a couple of years actually and I'm actually pretty excited about this
00:08Not just for the specs and the features which I'll walk you through in a second
00:11But also the price they're pitching this as a proper flagship killer
00:16so I've partnered with real me to give you a walkthrough of the new gt6 share a few of my first impressions and
00:22Something a little bit different
00:23I've actually jumped on a call with
00:24Francis from real me who knows everything there is to know about the phone and I've got some pretty hard-hitting questions
00:30I'm gonna put to him including what does the GT actually stand for in gt6?
00:35GT when we were launching it
00:37We were the reference we take was we were trying to build it like a car. So GT was like green tourism
00:44so it's kind of like a car a super car with super performance a
00:49Flagship killer with some of the sense of design and premium. That's how I'm defining the GT
00:56So
01:18The GT 6 comes in two flavors, this is razor green and this is fluid silver
01:24Which one do you prefer I think I'm gonna go with the green round the back we have this quite unique
01:31Contrasting to texture design and apparently it takes real me 30 different processes
01:37processes processes
01:38To achieve this industry-first nano mirror design for the back cover with this mirror coating giving it an incredibly smooth bright and very
01:47reflective look
01:488.6 millimeters thick it weighs a hundred ninety nine grams
01:52Feels good in the hand as the youtuber cliche goes we do get an IR blaster up top here
01:57Which you don't see very often, but no headphone jack
02:00No micro SD card reader and also there's no official IP water and dust resistance rating
02:05Although I'm sure I'll survive a splash companies actually have to pay quite a lot of money to get that IP certification
02:09So I guess they just made that decision to keep the cost down. So when it comes to actually designing a new phone
02:15What's the process and also do you have any input in it?
02:18Three biggest points which matters what color you use
02:22What materials you use and where you're gonna put your camera on it has to go through
02:27Multiple rounds of testing and sampling. I think the good design should not be complicated
02:33It should be simple direct and it should be minimal my personal favorite razor green up front
02:40We have this six point seven eight inch 120 Hertz curved OLED display
02:44Which also happens to be the world's brightest screen on a phone peaking at a ridiculous
02:506,000 nits
02:526,000 now breaking that down. We're talking a thousand nits of regular full screen brightness
02:571600 nits in high brightness mode or HBM, but then up to 6,000 nits on a smaller window
03:02So we're not talking 6,000 nits at full screen brightness
03:05But for making small highlights really pop in HDR content in your games and overall just making it easier to use outdoors in bright Sun
03:12It's technically very impressive and it achieved SGS is five-star rating for sunlight readability
03:18We want to build a display which is bright enough power efficient enough and also can protecting the eyes
03:25There has never been any display in the market, which is so bright. We've used a
03:3080 LTPO technology on it. So the power consumption compared with the 70
03:36Technology which has been used in many other phones. The power consumption has been 20% lower
03:41So we try to put one light sensor in it
03:44It can make sure that the brightness of this display can adjust to more than 10,000 different levels
03:51So it's not just a bright. It is actually
03:54Bright to a level that you actually need it and we've introduced the AI features
04:00It can smartly monitor the eye strength and smartly adjusted the brightness and the visual effect
04:07So it protects the eyes so we call it AI protection 2.0
04:12Now this is the point in the video where I would tell you about the specs what's powering these phones and it actually says
04:19Right on the back here the processor is using but unfortunately, I have been told I'm not allowed to tell you just yet
04:25It is a closely guarded secret. What I can tell you is that it's a brand new snapdragon chip
04:31flagship level
04:33Kind of thing I don't want to get in trouble but it's incredibly fast like it'll play any game you throw at it flawlessly
04:44You're not gonna be disappointed
04:45you can also open up the performance control center here where you can literally change the frequency of the CPU cores and
04:52Customize the GPU frequency now, obviously, you don't have to do any of this stuff
04:55You'll still get a great optimized experience out of the box
04:58But if you do like to tinker or fine-tune the performance for a particular game you have the option here
05:03It also comes with 8 or 16 gigabytes of RAM and either 256 or 512 gigs of storage and for the battery
05:11They have squeezed in a massive
05:135,500 million power cell and they tell me we can expect a full
05:1724 hours of YouTube video playback or just under 8 hours of PUBG and
05:22Of course real me are famous for their fast charging and bundled in the box. We have their 120 watt super VOOC charger
05:29now that will get you to I think 18% from dead in three minutes 50% in about 10 minutes and a full charge 0 to
05:36100 in 27 minutes. The only problem is there's no wireless charging support with the GT 6, unfortunately
05:43Which is a bit of a shame, but I guess that again, that's another decision
05:46They've made to keep the cost down a little bit. Okay, let's talk about this camera system
05:50we've got three lenses with the main one here being a 50 megapixel sensor from Sony and
05:55Also together with a hypertone image engine and some very fancy AI
05:59Background algorithm a magic II things together with the ultra wide and a telephoto lens first impressions of again pre-release software
06:06I've actually come away pretty impressed by this and
06:09I wanted to get out the studio and just test it somewhere a little bit more interesting. Here. I am in Osaka
06:15that's Osaka Castle and
06:17There's about a million children over there. So I'm not to go ahead of them. Let's see what this can do
06:23And let me show you around the castle
06:44But what makes this camera setup specifically really stand out to you
06:49Let's say king of the night photography so in the king
06:53Yeah, I believe GT 6 is definitely the best night photography phone in the market in the hardware
06:59we use the tail one man sensors from Sony AI night vision video features plus the
07:05Hypertone image engine and in particular real me are very proud of the GT 6 is low light
07:12Capability with their AI night vision mode which uses an advanced night video algorithm to give you properly good low light
07:18Video and we also get their hypertone image engine which improves all aspects of the camera combining multiple exposures
07:25Denoising AI upscaling to make your shots better
07:28So we were trying to use AI AI features
07:31It will smartly put the missing pixels in the video you are shooting so it makes your video much much brighter
07:38Now, of course, no 2024 phone launch will be complete without the obligatory mention of AI
07:44So you mentioned the AI I detect but what other sort of AI features do we have here?
07:48And which is your favorite when talk about AI features GT 6 was the first time that real me was introducing its own
07:56AI system we call it the next AI AI loop it can
08:01Read your message and judge. What is your intention?
08:04And basically you can touch and hold any image or text or video or file
08:08Drag it to the edge of the screen to bring up the AI smart loop and it will intelligently suggest the apps you might need
08:14Which should save you some time?
08:16So let's say looking ahead the next few years. What are we gonna see change in smartphones? How is AI gonna evolve?
08:21What are you sort of excited for with the future of this kind of tech?
08:24Maybe I think smartphone will not be like today. It's like one for a big display there. It will be like a minimal
08:31It's like a small component. It understand all our intention. It talks to us. It's like Java's of
08:38The arrow man it will become our secretary right now. We are already
08:43Starting developing our next AI is 2.0 and we're also testing
08:49Fast chargings at 300 watts. So the GT 6 will ship with Android 14 and we will be getting Android 15, although they haven't
08:57Confirmed what support they'll be offering beyond that just yet
09:00I will pin a comment update the description when I have sort of confirmation on that
09:03But of course the big question that I've left to the end is the price. How much is the real me GT 6?
09:09Well, I can't tell you exactly they haven't told me exactly but what I can say is that it'll be under
09:17$850 which given the spec and the processor which I can't tell you
09:21I think makes this very competitive and one of the most interesting answers from my little chat with Francis is how
09:27They're actually not taking that much of a profit from some of these phones in order to grow the brand
09:32if real me as a comparatively new brand wants to make its way in the
09:37Flagship market profit is not our first motivation. Our first step was to
09:43Try to increase our user base
09:45so that is the real me GT 6 if you've got any questions drop a comment below and I'll also leave a link in the
09:50Description if you want to check this out for yourself hit that subscribe button if you enjoyed the video and I'll see you next time
