01:48as well as a high-resolution 64-megapixel

03:42This has the Snapdragon 870.
03:45We've also got a 120Hz AMOLED screen with this.
03:50And while we don't have a headphone jack,
03:52we do get stereo speakers.
03:53I think they both do.
03:55And they're also very thin.
03:56Both of the devices are quite thin.
03:58So even though we've got very large displays,
04:01they do feel pretty comfortable, I'd say.
04:04Also a nice little protective case as well.
04:06So that can slip right on there.

05:16So this is a 64 megapixel setup.
05:19We've got this main lens, 4 in 1 pixel binning.
05:22Then we have an 8 megapixel ultra wide.
05:23If you want to see more of my behind the scenes of the studio,
05:26which I've not tidied up, don't look around.
05:29And a 2 megapixel macro.
05:31I think we all know how we feel about macro lenses, but it's there if you want it.
05:35There's no dedicated telephoto lens, but you can, of course,
05:38zoom in and use some ability AI to sort of improve that as well.
05:42And you can shoot 4K video.
05:43So as I say, this is the first Pocophone with OIS.
05:46So if we sort of just move around a little bit,
05:49look at that bit of shake going on.
05:51This should be the smoothest video you can get on a Pocophone.
05:54It does make a big difference, that optical image stabilization.
05:57I'm keen to see this profile photo as well.

06:13But what you can do is swipe in from either side to bring up this game turbo menu.
06:18So like any good gaming phone, you've got a bunch of options here.
06:20You can record the screen, don't disturb, change the settings,
06:23change the performance.
06:24You can boost it for a little bit.
06:26You can see that.
06:27Look at that.
06:27The FPS jumping right up there.
06:29So you're really taking advantage of that 144 hertz screen.
06:31So you can see here how it actually changes the sort of speed of your movements
06:37and the responsiveness of the phone.
06:38You can change it to how you want.
06:39But let's give him pro mode.
06:41I like the visual representation.
06:43It's very intuitive, isn't it?

07:02And actually, I'm enjoying the vibration, the feedback.

07:08So the force feedback, the haptics actually feel quite nice.

07:32Genuinely, this is more of an all-rounder phone.
07:36And the first thing I noticed really was just how fast it is with that 120Hz refresh.
07:40The 120Hz really does make a difference.
07:42And AMOLED as well.
07:43So 120Hz, AMOLED.
07:45One of the first things I noticed is how small that little hole punch cutout is.
07:49It is one of the smallest, which you're going to learn to ignore shortly after using it.
07:54Yeah, just like when you subscribe to SuperSaf.
07:59And actually, you'll see if we jump into the refresh rate settings on each.
08:02It is set to the default recommended mode.
08:05So that will switch based on what you're using.
08:07So it might be down to 60Hz if you're just on something standard.
08:11But then if you are gaming or using something that can take advantage
08:15of that high refresh rate when you're scrolling,
08:17then it's going to go up to 120Hz or 100Hz.
08:20Or you can get a custom and specify one or the other.
08:23So if you want, you can keep it at 120Hz all the time if you want.
08:26But that'll use a little bit more battery.
08:27Yes.
08:28We've got the LCD here on the X4 GT.
08:32And we do also have 144Hz, which just makes things that much smoother.
08:39And along with the Dimensity 8100, that's a 5nm chipset.
08:43We've got LPDDR5 RAM on both devices, as well as UFS 3.1 storage.
08:48Yes, both have that.
08:49Personally speaking, I like to game on my smartphone occasionally,
08:53but I don't want something that looks like a gaming phone.
08:56That's a very good point.
08:57You want the capabilities of a gaming phone with...
09:00Yes.
09:00Well, I know we've got vapor chamber coolers in both,
09:03and also some new ice cool technology.
09:05Sustained performance is important.
09:07And with the liquid cool technology that we've got 2.0 on here,
09:10we've also got a 32% larger vapor chamber.
09:13So that just makes things much more sustained over a longer period of time
09:18when you are gaming and keeping that heat down.
09:20So the X4 GT is powered by that MediaTek Dimensity 8100.
09:24And like the F4, we're also getting that Liquid Cool 2 technology
09:28and UFS 3.1, LPDDR5, all the good stuff.
09:31And also one of the most powerful and efficient processors you can get in a phone.
09:36They're both incredibly capable chips.
09:37As you say, 5nm on that one, 7nm on this one.
09:41So the Dimensity is a little bit newer, but they're both...
09:44Well, they'll run everything you throw at it.
09:46When you've got 270Hz touch sampling, as well as that 144Hz LCD display,
09:52it's just going to make things very responsive.
09:54So as soon as you touch a trigger,
09:56you'll be seeing that response without any delay.
09:59So that's something that's really good.
10:00I know both phones do get Gorilla Glass 5 on the front to keep them protected.
10:04And actually, the F4, we have 900 nits of brightness in high brightness mode.
10:08And also, it can peak at 1300 nits with HDR.
10:11So if you're watching videos and movies and enjoy some content...
10:13If you're like me with these on all the time...
10:15You're going to need a bright phone.
10:16Then you can see that very clearly, which is great.
10:19I mean, they're both great for entertainment and gaming,
10:21but they've got slightly different directions there.
10:24So the F4 is powered by the Snapdragon 870,
10:27which is still one of the best chips on the market for performance,
10:30both in terms of high clock speeds and also the ISP for the camera.
10:34And together with Poco's LiquidCool Technology 2.0
10:37and also the bigger vapor chamber cooler inside,
10:40for the money, this is a pretty solid setup.
10:42Battery life.
10:43It's important.
10:44It's important.
10:45We want something that can last a long time, unlike Tom, the tech chap.

10:565,080 mAh battery.
10:58That's a pretty sizable battery.
11:00Yeah, yours is bigger than mine, as they say.
11:02No, this has actually got the free 500 mAh battery.
11:05But I guess, obviously, being more gaming-oriented,
11:08that will drain the battery quicker.
11:09So you want a bit of a chunkier.
11:10It will do.
11:11And they both have that 67-watt turbo charging.
11:15Yeah, and that just means you're going to be able to go from 0 to 100%
11:19in around 46 minutes, which is really good.
11:21So as you can see, we have MIUI 13 running here.
11:24This is on top of Android 12.
11:26So it's the same software on both.
11:27We've got LPDDR5 on both.
11:29And you've also got UFS 3.1 storage.
11:31So everything is super smooth alongside the high refresh rates.
11:36And also, on the side, we have a little fingerprint reader.
11:39Yeah.
11:39Did you notice that?
11:40Yes, nice and convenient.
11:41My power button doubles as a fingerprint.
11:42Although we do also get face unlocking, if you prefer.
11:44So you've got the fingerprint reader and the face unlock, which is nice on both.
11:47We have an IR blaster.
11:49They both have IR blasters.
11:50Yeah, I mean...
11:51You don't see that very often, do you?
11:52We don't, we don't.
11:53I could just switch the TV off here with this.
11:56And that's, yeah, that's something that I've not seen in quite a while.
