06:41So how did she start?
06:43Another great story.
06:45In 1967,
06:47my parents taught
06:49round dancing, and they went all around the United States.
06:51So that's what they called First Park, that is.
06:53They were famously known
06:55in the United States for their round dancing.
06:57And so,
06:59some people were in their round dance club and said,
07:01we've got a concession stand.
07:03My dad said,
07:05we might be able to make a little extra money
07:07to go to Vegas.
07:0955 years later, we're still here.
07:11Within two years, Mother and Daddy
07:13owned it.
07:15Spending money in Vegas.
07:17Hospitality is what our parents were.
07:19They started in the square dance world with the hospitality.
07:21What a story.
07:23And so then,
07:25in 1980, they were in Franceton.
07:27And she mom called and she said,
07:29you know,
07:31none of the people
07:33are going to bring you to the fair.
07:35And so that was back in the good old days,
07:37when it was a handshake agreement,
07:39that y'all are going to be the only ones that are selling.
07:41Well, now there's a puddle pit down in the corner.
07:43But that's where the tradition and the history comes in.
07:45Every single day,
07:47I'll have somebody say,
07:49we've got a puddle pit down there,
07:51because before we did away, we'd only come to Vernon's.
07:53So that's why
07:55the sign out front says,
07:57you have to imitate it.
07:59You never do it again.

08:29And so when he was born, my daughter surprised me
08:31and she said, they're making him go on a walk.
08:33So he was out here the other day
08:35listening to the story and he said, you know what?
08:37I think when I take this over,
08:39I think I should send you back to mom's cafe.
