00:00In the field of basketball, the name of John Amores became famous after he was caught in a fight and was shot in Lumban, Laguna.

00:13This is what Paolo Salamatin has to say.

00:22In basketball, not only talent is the key to success.

00:25It includes discipline, respect, and sportsmanship, especially in the face of a fierce battle.

00:31John Amores is a promising player who used to play for Jose Rizal University.

00:37At present, he is a member of Northport Batang Pierre.

00:40His name became famous in the College of Basketball.

00:43However, despite his fame in the court, he was not saved from controversies due to his aggressive attitude.

00:53In July 2022, he was involved in a fight where he punched Mark Belmonte of UP Fighting Maroons in the UCBL.

01:03Belmonte suffered serious injuries where he had to undergo a surgery.

01:11A few months later, Amores was again caught in a physical fight in November 2022 in NCAA against the College of Saint Benilde.

01:21Here, he was eliminated and the players and coaches of the opposing team were hit by rain.

01:27Because of this, he was removed from the JRU and was given an indefinite ban by the NCAA.

01:38Despite his mistakes, many still gave him a chance.

01:43Amores played for Zamboanga Valientes and was included in the PBA as the 51st overall pick of Northport Batang Pierre.

01:51His return to the field of basketball gave him hope that he can change his path.

02:00However, this September, he was again caught in a fight after he was caught in a CCTV video where he fired a gun at a player in a game in Lumban, Laguna.

02:13The PBA officially suspended him for the entire 49th season without a salary.

02:19The commissioner has decided that John Amores will be suspended for all his games in the next conference of the PBA's 49th season.

02:31In a recent social media post by PBA Motoclub, some former PBA players gave their advice to Amores.

02:40To me, I'm just gonna be brutally honest with you. Don't get mad at me. I hope you won't be offended.

02:45When I saw the 15-game suspension, I compared it to what happened to Calvin. He got off lightly for me.

02:55Guys, you know what you did was wrong, right?

02:57Yes.

02:58So, whatever happens, you will face the consequences. And I want you to return to the PBA stronger and better.

03:07This December, Amores will face an important hearing if he will be given another chance to play in the PBA.

03:16But the question now is, should John Amores be given another chance or should he continue his career in basketball?
