00:03A Derbyshire car park has been closed until further notice after a one and a half metre sinkhole was discovered at the site.
00:10Amber Valley Borough Council posted a notice outside the now fenced off Church Street car park in Ripley announcing the closure.
00:17Due to the potential safety risk the hole poses to the public, the car park will remain closed until further notice while the council investigates.
00:25A spokesperson for Amber Valley Borough Council said
00:28We have closed Church Street car park for health and safety reasons following the discovery of a void.
00:33We have instructed a structural engineer to undertake an investigation and provide guidance on the safest course of action in terms of reinstatement work.
00:42We currently have no timescales for the reopening of the car park but we will keep the public updated via our social media channels and we thank them for their patience.
00:53A Chesterfield teacher has been recognised for her hard work by Sheffield Hallam University.
00:58Laura Webster who is the KS2 Lead and Maths Lead at Highfield Hall Fight Primary School in Chesterfield has received the Inspirational Teaching Mentor of the Year award in recognition of her work with student teachers.
01:09She has been a teacher for 14 years and has worked with student teachers for 10 years.
01:14Mrs Webster who is from Chesterfield said
01:16I always think it's a real privilege to have student teachers in my class and to mentor them because they are the future of education.
01:23But to find out that my hard work has been put forward and recognised takes it to another level.
