The government will restructure civil servant salaries under the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) from Dec 1, 2024, with a 15% adjustment for executives and professionals, and 7% for top management.

While tabling Budget 2025 on Friday (Oct 18), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also announced a RM500 special cash aid for civil servants in Grade 56 and below, including contract workers, and a RM250 cash aid for retired civil servants, including army veterans, to be distributed in February next year.
