These are the adverts that appear during the 1987 Scottish Cup Final on May 16th 1987. There are a couple of familiar faces, including Blue Peter's John Noakes and Melanie Kilburn, pre-Peak Practice, while there are a few good tunes as well in this, such as Del Shannon's Runaway. There are a couple of familiar adverts too, and the last ad about Marro Bone brought back forgotten memories about what we used to feed our dog back in the day. I certainly feel adverts in this period were more interesting than ones from this century. The commercials that appear are as follows:
1st break: Everest Windows (John Noakes on Everest Doors); KitKat bar (Anglo-Soviet Talks); NatWest bank (Busy businesses press orange button); KP Honey Roasted Peanuts (Party dance - Billy Idol song "More, More, More"); Lamot lager (Man in Black & black panther), and Daily Record & Sunday Mail newspapers (Jackpot scratchcards).
2nd break: Skol lager (Hager the Horrible - Private drink); Vauxhall club range cars (Hijacked transporter - Del Shannon's Runaway song); Gillette Contour Plus razors (John Hurt voiceover); The Observer newspaper (impartial newspapers); Milk ad (Boyfriend takes on his girl at judo), and Malibu drink (Train journey to paradise).
3rd break: Vokeswagon car (Man walks through park - I wonder who's kissing her now?); National Provincial Building Society (Little Red Houses around the world, sung to This Ole House); Sure deodorant (sweaty drummer at gig); Hamlet cigars (Matchstick cathedral); Panasonic video recorder digital scanner (Melanie Kilburn - And the Murderer Is...); Flymo lawnmower (Tennis match) and Marrowbone dog food.
