00:00Tonight, on Bourbon Street, the Saints have dropped four in a row, and they started the
00:07season with a couple of big, high-scoring games, and everyone started saying they were
00:12going to the Super Bowl, and they have looked terrible ever since, and they lost Derrick
00:17Carr.
00:18Yeah, and look, Carr's got the oblique injury.
00:20This could be three to four weeks.
00:22Those are really tough.
00:23You know, if he's a baseball pitcher, you're looking at six to eight weeks, so it's tough
00:27to come back from that injury.
00:28Spencer Rattler did a nice job last week.
00:31Here are the rookie from South Carolina, who I sold to Senior Bowl, but let's talk about
00:37the Saints first here.
00:39They're down a minimum of two offensive linemen on the interior.
00:42Both starting receivers.
00:43Alavi's out with a concussion.
00:44You can't play after four days with a concussion.
00:47You're not going to get cleared on the protocol.
00:49And then Rasheed Shaheed, their best deep threat, he won on IR today with a significant
00:52knee injury, so they're going to go with Bub Means, a rookie out of the University of Pittsburgh.
00:57Got a nice game last week.
00:58And Cedric Wilson, a veteran, a journeyman receiver.
01:01They're really light on depth at receiver.
01:03That does concern me.
01:04You've got a couple injuries at linebacker on defense.
01:07That's an issue.
01:08So here's something I don't understand.
01:10You talked about how great their offense was.
01:13Now it's really struggling.
01:14I know their defense gave up 51 last week, but let's face it, Scott.
01:18How are they going to score?
01:19It's going to be hard for them to score.
01:21The total Denver, by the way, is three and a half, but the total is 37.
01:25To me, the play is under.
01:26I don't see how in the world the Saints are going to score against, by the way, a pretty
01:29good Denver defense.
01:30Well, I mean, they got smoked last week and Baker put 50-some on them, but they still
01:37scored 20-something.
01:39And there's no Patrick Sertan tonight.
01:42And I saw Denver's vaunted defense that everyone says is so wonderful and, you know, they're
01:49like the Jets.
01:50All I hear about is how great they are, and yet they lose at home to the Chargers, give
01:55up 23.
01:57That game went over, and then the Saints game went way over.
02:01So I don't buy any of that, that there's not going to be scoring tonight because guys are
02:05injured.
02:06I'll tell you why they'll be scoring is no Patrick Sertan, which means their back end
02:09is weak without it.
02:11Yeah, and look, they are going to get Baron Browning back off of injured reserve.
02:16This just happened within the last hour.
02:18He comes off IR, and he's a good football player.
02:20Mike McGlinchey, by the way, will be back at right tackle.
02:23That helps Denver tonight.
02:25But look, this is one of those games where early on it looked like with Denver's turnaround
02:30it looked like a good game.
02:31But New Orleans, as you mentioned, they've lost four in a row.
02:34They're struggling to move in the football.
02:35Again, they're down two starting receivers.
02:38A lot of 12 personnel tonight, 10 ends are going to have to be involved.
02:41Foster Moreau has done a nice job.
02:43And don't forget to take some hills out again with a very bad rimagery.
02:46And boy, that is, by the way, one of the big reasons why they're not scoring is his absence.
02:53Boy, he looked awesome before those injuries.
02:56Yeah, without Carr, without Hill, I mean, they're naked.
03:00Yeah, it's going to be harder for them.
03:02You and I don't see this the same way.
03:04I think this is a low scoring game, to be honest with you.
03:06Well, we'll see what happens.
03:08Do you like Spencer Rattler at all?
03:11Do you think he has a future in the league?
03:13Yeah, Solomon's a senior ball.
03:14Good arm.
03:15He's not the biggest guy in the world, but he's an aggressive thrower.
03:18I thought he did a good job considering the injuries they had last week.
03:21I thought he did a really good job.
03:24This thing, boy, their offense was unbelievable for the first two weeks.
03:29But, you know, the other thing is, Scott, since Sean Payton retired, they're not very good at home.
03:33They're just a very average football team now middling, and they're spiraling out of control here.
03:38Denver right now looks like a team that could get the job done.
