00:00John DeShazer is our buddy down in New Orleans with NewOrleansaints.com.
00:05John, the last time we saw you, the Saints were cooking.
00:10They had scored 47 points in the opener.
00:13They had scored 44 against Dallas and kicked their ass.
00:17And since then, they've lost three in a row.
00:21And they've lost their quarterback.
00:24Now, I said today that, you know, I've had the oblique playing basketball multiple times.
00:29And to me, it's three or four weeks.
00:31It is what it is.
00:32I don't think he's finished at all.
00:34And today, people are talking to me about, you know, Adams doesn't want to go there because they, you know, lost Carr.
00:42I don't believe that's going to last more than three or four weeks.
00:45And he's going to be back running the Saints.
00:47What do you know about his oblique?
00:50And do you believe for one minute that that stuff with Adams is dead in the water?
00:56I'll answer the second one first.
00:58No, I don't think it's dead in the water.
01:00And the first one is, you know, Coach Dennis Allen said yesterday that Derrick Carr was week to week.
01:05So, you know, Derrick Carr is a guy who last year had rib injuries.
01:08He had, you know, a head injury.
01:10He had, you know, a sprained AC joint.
01:13And he didn't miss a single start for the Saints.
01:15So, he's one of those guys who when he says he wants to be out there with his guys, he really wants to be out there with his guys.
01:22And I know that certainly the team has lost three straight now going into Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.
01:27But things haven't looked great at all.
01:29You know, they scored a total of 46 points, I think, in the last three games.
01:33Excuse me, 49 points in the last three games after scoring 47 in the opener.
01:39But a lot of that has to do with a very underrated member of the offense.
01:44And that's center Eric McCoy was injured in the Philly game.
01:47That was the third game of the season.
01:49And that's when the losing streak started.
01:50Having McCoy not be on the field, the offensive inefficiency has risen, unfortunately, the last couple of games.
01:58So, maybe they can get that back on track because McCoy still is out.
02:02You know, he had surgery to repair his groin.
02:05So, he's going to miss at least four and probably more than that.
02:08So, that still remains to be seen.
02:10But, you know, Derrick Carr has been the starter for this team.
02:14He's going to be the starter when he comes back.
02:16When Dennis Allen says that's going to be our guy, he means that's going to be our guy.
02:21Now, if he's out for three, four weeks and Spencer Rattler shocks the world, you know, then maybe there's a reevaluation.
02:30But, you know, from all intents and purposes and everything we've heard,
02:34Derrick Carr is still going to be the guy who's going to be quarterbacking this team.
