00:54I think Chicago has per capita more hot dogs than anywhere else in the world.
01:00And this one is here in Bensonville, just outside of Chicago.
01:04Near O'Hare Airport.
01:06And we have Gene's.
01:08And they're another member of the Vietnamese Fall of Fame.
01:12We've seen some of the Vietnamese Fall of Fame members that have fallen on hard times.

01:20Maybe there's a little shenanigans with that.
01:24But we'll see if Gene's is running the tank as we go raw dogging in Chicago.
01:48Like many places in Chicago, Gene's older hot dogs come with fries.
02:16And they've been here since 1976.
02:18They use steamed buns.
02:20It's not the poppy seed.
02:22It's got like a nice little steam quality.
02:26The zitter quality.
02:28This looks like the type of hot dog you might find on the street in New York.

03:08There are some beans on the chili dog.
03:10We'll see if it hurts the score.
03:14But we'll see how the hot dog actually tastes.
03:16Bundled up ratio is good on these, by the way.
03:30There's a decent spice on this chili.
03:34Even with the beans, it holds together well.
03:40Doesn't get too sloppy.
03:42I'm going to give the chili dog a double.

04:06But you know, sometimes the best hot dog places are cash only.
04:10And that's a throwback charm.
04:12And they're tasty dogs.
