00:00I'm joined by Holly and Artie from Lake Avenue Store and Post Office who've just won the
00:06Contributions to the Community Award. Congratulations guys, how happy are you to be stood there
00:11Artie with that in your hands. Amazing, I'm so proud of everybody that works with us and
00:15all of our customers. Honestly, I can't believe it.
00:18So to the award to the Contributions to the Community, Holly, tell us a little bit about
00:23what you do to become such a community asset.
00:25We do a lot, we serve customers, there's a lot that we do within the community, we've
00:32got a lot of people coming in for help and everything, it's nice.
00:36Obviously it's a tough landscape for many out there, which is obviously a sad situation.
00:40So what else do you think will you continue to do looking forward to support the community?
00:45We're a community business, we're a business within a community and we know people on a
00:51day-to-day basis and our staff are brilliant. They know generally when somebody's vulnerable
00:58or when they might need extra help or just help with their shopping or maybe sometimes
01:04a bit more. So we kind of, I think, continue to connect with our community in that way
01:09and hopefully things will just continue to blossom.
01:11That's fantastic. I was about to say, tell us about the team behind the scenes, but tell
01:15us about the team behind the camera right now. How much are they an integral part of
01:20this?
01:21A massive part. Tanya, who is hiding behind, doesn't want to talk, is our manager and she
01:27holds the fort down, along with everybody else. Sherry will, I think, love to get in
01:33front of the camera.
01:34I'm surprised she didn't, to be honest.
01:37She's one of our longest serving members of staff, but also someone who really connects
01:43with our community and does care about every customer that walks through the door. And
01:48it's noticed even by customers. So, I mean, it's just amazing to actually be recognised
01:53for it.
01:54Fantastic. Holly, what have you made of tonight? And I imagine you have plans to celebrate
01:58this evening.
01:59Yes, we do, I think.
02:01Yes.
02:02Probably drinks afterwards.
02:03Change of plans.
02:04Yeah, probably drinks afterwards. But yeah, it's been an amazing evening. It has been
02:09an amazing evening.
02:10Well done, guys. You've probably served it. Enjoy your evening.
02:13Thank you very much. Thank you.
02:14Cheers.
02:15Can I have a little bite of it?
02:17Is that OK?
02:19And this bit.
02:21She's shy, but she shouldn't be shy.
02:25We've got it.
02:26I like the rice.
