00:33to avoid wasting food and to use it in times of need.

00:38The Department of Agriculture's target is to build a mega cold storage facility

00:44and small warehouses in different parts of the country.

00:47It will raise 1.5 billion pesos in funds

00:51from the unprogrammed funds approved by the agency.

00:55The procurement process will start before the end of the year.

00:591.5 billion pesos is for one megastructure.

01:041 billion pesos is a lot of modular.

01:14It will definitely help to preserve the shelf life of the agri-produce

01:21thereby reducing the wastage, losses, and others.

01:28The Department of Agriculture promised to buy rice from farmers

01:33in order to lower the current price.

01:36According to the DA, 1.5 billion pesos was given to the National Food Authority.

01:42That's enough to buy more than 7 million bags of rice

01:46that will be ground into rice.

01:48The NFA rice is used for relief operations whenever there is an emergency.

01:54For more Filipinos to benefit from cheap rice,

01:59the DA will expand the President's office in Visayas and Mindanao.

02:03The President's office is expected to open 45 new offices before the end of October.

02:10We will have a meeting next week.

02:15Governor Nguyen has already allowed us to be able to sell the P-29.

02:21A lot of LGUs in the Visayas region.

02:26Under the P-29 program,

02:28the poorest Filipinos can buy up to 29 pesos of rice.
