00:00The Gospel of Luke, chapter 2, verses 41-49.

00:07Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover,

00:15and when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the Feast.

00:23And when they had fulfilled the days as they returned,

00:27the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem,

00:32and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.

00:36But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey,

00:42and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.

00:46And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.

00:53And it came to pass that after three days they found him in a temple,

01:00sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them and asking them questions.

01:07And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

01:15And when they saw him, they were amazed.

01:18And his mother said unto him,

01:21Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us?

01:25Behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

01:30And he said unto them,

01:33How is it that ye sought me?

01:36Wist ye not that I must be about my father's business?

01:42This is the gospel of the Lord.
