00:00Tonight, your Dodgers start up three games in Queens and it is just so you know, it's
00:12chilly here.
00:14It's perfect.
00:15It's clear.
00:16It'll be cool.
00:17Not freezing, but cool.
00:19Very cool for the games.
00:21The weather's not going to change.
00:23You're not seeing, I believe in those three games here, any rain.
00:28It's supposed to be pristine for like the next eight, 10 days around here.
00:32It's been, we haven't seen rain in a month in New York.
00:36It's been unbelievable.
00:37It's been like Indian summer.
00:38So weather's not an issue in either that series or the Yankees, even though they've gone to
00:43Cleveland now.
00:44I don't know what the weather's like there, but here it's been perfect.
00:46So tonight you're going to have Bueller and Severino.
00:52Bueller and Severino.
00:53I would expect some runs to be scored tonight in tonight's baseball game.
00:57All the talk about Walker Bueller and his struggles, you know, we've talked about it
01:02a lot.
01:03I thought he was actually pretty good against San Diego with stuff was pretty good.
01:06He had a lot of bad luck early in the baseball game.
01:09He's been hit or miss like Bueller's gotten better over the last month or so.
01:14And you look at Severino, Severino has given up three or more runs in five straight starts.
01:20So and you look, Mookie Betts hits them pretty hard.
01:24Otani's only faced them six times, but it's three for six.
01:27Conversely, for the prop players tonight, Alonzo absolutely murders Walker Bueller.
01:33Just for the record.
01:34He's got, he kills it.
01:36I think he's got four home runs in his career against Bueller.
01:39Big game, Scott.
01:40You know, big, big three games here.
01:41I think, you know, it looks like this series is going to go six or seven would be, you
01:47know, I'd be really surprised.
01:48I'm sure you would be too if anybody won three straight games here at Citi Field.
01:54It's a madhouse.
01:55It's going to be a circus.
01:56You got Grimace.
01:57You got Doc Good and Darryl Strawberry, and it's going to be a big party there.
02:01But once the game gets going, you know, home field in baseball doesn't really mean very
02:07much.
02:08Really looking forward to this game tonight, Scott.
02:09You know, I'm not going to say it's the be-all end-all game because it isn't, right?
02:13If the series is tied at one, there's a lot of racetrack left, man.
02:16This race has just gotten started.
02:18But if you're the Dodgers and you can win with Walker Bueller, it'd be big.
02:22And if you're the Mets, you really want to get this game going because you got Yamamoto
02:26and Flaherty coming back at you after this, Scott.
02:29And I'll just throw this out there looking ahead.
02:31The Dodgers won't have any pitchers left.
02:33Like if this series goes seven, Walker Bueller will be starting game seven.
02:37So then, you know, game two really was so big, man.
02:40If the Dodgers could have gotten, you know, up two, they'd have a little bit more to work
02:45with right now.
02:46But you could argue the Mets have a slight advantage in the series right now, Scott,
02:50due to the home field, the three games in a row at City, and the pitching situation
02:55for the Dodgers.
02:56If the series goes six and seven games, it would have to be a bullpen game, Scott, in
03:01game six, and it would be Walker Bueller in game seven.
03:05So I'm just stating.
03:06You know what I mean?
03:07I think it's a pretty, it is a big game, you know, to sort of get the leg up, especially
03:12if you're the Dodgers, bro.
03:13If you can get up two-one and you're sending Yamamoto to the hill, who I have a lot of
03:16confidence in, you're going to be feeling pretty good about yourself.
03:20So can't wait for this game, Scott.
03:21It's another one of these days where eight o'clock Eastern can't get here soon enough.
03:25Five o'clock Pacific, and I'm like, damn, it's still early.
03:29Clock is ticking slow today.
03:30Let me ask you.
03:31So you know what the Mets have done since the beginning of June?
03:35They have had the best record in baseball since the beginning of June.
03:39The Dodgers beat the Padres in a great series in five games.
03:45The Mets beat Philly's team that everyone thought the Dodgers were going to be playing
03:49for the pennant.
03:51Are you willing to admit now that the Mets are dangerous and they worry you?
03:57That they're as good or better than the Dodgers, and better than anybody in baseball?
04:01They have been.
04:03I think right now, yeah, obviously they are.
04:05They don't quit.
04:06Right?
04:07Lindor is amazing.
04:08They don't quit.
04:09They've got a ton of resiliency, this baseball team, and I've said, I've been on record.
04:13Listen, if the Yankees are playing well right now, well, they're not playing great, but
04:18they're winning baseball games.
04:20But whoever they play will be a lot tougher for them in the World Series.
04:23Like whether it would have been San Diego, whether it would have been if it's the Dodgers
04:28or if it's the Mets.
04:30So yeah, I'm not dismissing the Mets at all.
04:33Cleveland just don't have enough talent.
04:35You know, like you need players, right?
04:38You know, you can get away with small ball and pitching for a while.
04:43Eventually it's going to catch up to you.
04:45We talked about it yesterday.
04:46We talked about it, Scott, and I said, the Guardians don't have any room for error when
04:49they play the Yankees.
04:50And what do they do?
04:51They literally make, you know, they drop a pop fly in the infield in the first inning
04:56to sort of set the tone of that baseball game.
04:58But yeah, obviously the Mets are dangerous as hell.
05:00If they get to the World Series, I think they can beat the Yankees.
