00:00all the ladies in the village arrived at the palace claiming to be carrying the prince's child
00:10once upon a time in a mystical african village there lived a great king named Ade
00:18he ruled over his kingdom with wisdom and grace and his people adored him. King Ade had a son
00:27named Jade who was the apple of his eyes and the heir apparent to the throne. Prince Jade was a
00:35handsome kind and gentle young man loved and admired by every lady in the village. Despite
00:44his royal background Jade loved a simple and common life. He sought out adventures in the vast
00:52farmland surrounding the village. One fateful day while Jade was climbing one of the tallest
01:00palm trees in the farm tragedy struck. He accidentally missed a step from the great height
01:10breaking his neck. The prince lay unconscious his life hanging by a thread. The news of the
01:17prince's accident spread like a wildfire throughout the village and the entire community was plunged
01:26into despair. King Ade filled with worry and desperation summoned all the powerful healers
01:33in the land to save his beloved son. But despite their best efforts the prince remained in a deep
01:43coma unresponsive to any treatment. The king's heart ached with fear. Jade was his only son and
01:51the future of their kingdom. Without an heir the throne could pass to another king and King Ade
01:59could not allow that to happen. He cried out to the gods pleading for their intervention and healing
02:07of his son. The villagers joined in prayers and made sacrifices hoping for a miracle. After seven
02:16long days a great seer arrived at the palace with a glimmer of hope. He said that the gods had
02:25revealed to him that a young lady in the village was pregnant with prince Jade's child. The seer
02:34however added that the gods did not reveal the identity of this lady. King Ade's heart
02:43swelled with joy at the thought of an unborn grandchild who could inherit his throne should
02:50anything happen to his son. He knew he had to find the lady as soon as possible to secure the future
02:59of his kingdom. The news of the unborn prince spread like wildfire and soon nearly all the ladies in the
03:10village arrived at the palace claiming to be carrying the prince's child. Deep inside the village
03:19there lived a beautiful young lady named Falake. Falake had been in a secret relationship with
03:27prince Jade for a long time. Their love heeded from the praying eyes of the village.
03:35Several days before the prince's accident Falake had discovered that she was pregnant with his
03:43child and was planning to tell the prince before the tragic accident that has kept him in coma.
03:51Fearing that no one would believe her due to her poor background Falake kept her pregnancy
03:57a secret. Falake was helping her mother in the garden when her best friend Ronke came running
04:05towards her. Ronke informed Falake about the gathering of the ladies in the palace
04:12all claiming to be pregnant for the prince. Shocked and worried Falake confided in Ronke
04:21revealing her own pregnancy. Ronke consumed by envy and the desire to also become a queen
04:30laughed it off and left. On her way back Ronke hatched a plan. She thought to herself
04:38so because the prince is in a coma and cannot speak all of you are claiming to be pregnant for
04:45him you all want to become queen right okay let's all play this game. When Falake arrived at the
04:53palace she was taking her back to see her friend Ronke among the ladies claiming to be pregnant
05:00for the prince. The king equally astonished questioned all the lady why they gathered there.
05:09The seer had said only one lady was carrying the prince's child so why were they all claiming to
05:16be pregnant? Each lady insisted that the prince had impregnated them for the accident causing
05:24confusion in the palace. King Ade a wise ruler decided to put the ladies through a series of
05:34tests to determine the legitimacy of their claims. The tests were to begin in seven market days.
05:43During those seven market days the village was abuzz with activity. The courts were short and
05:50the men were busy as the ladies having their pregnancy earlier sought out someone to sleep
05:57with them and potentially get them pregnant. Ronke determined to beat everyone at the game
06:05kept her distance from Falake who was unaware of her friend's deceit. On the seventh day
06:15all the pregnant ladies gathered in the palace. The famous midwife in the village Yabo was called
06:23upon to confirm the pregnancies. To everyone's shock Yabo declared that all the ladies were indeed
06:31pregnant. A new test was announced a seed planting test. Each lady was asked to plant a special seed
06:42in prince Jade's garden symbolizing the life growing within them. The herbalist in the village
06:51had performed a ritual on the land ensuring that only the lady carrying the prince's child
06:59would have the healthiest plants. As the days passed all the plants began to grow
07:06but Falake's plant stood as the healthiest and the most vibrant. Ronke consumed by envy and
07:15desperation could not bear to see Falake succeed. In the dead of the night she sneaked into the
07:22garden when the girls were asleep and killed all the plants hoping to sabotage Falake's chances.
07:32The next day the entire village gathered at the garden to witness the revelation of the test
07:39results. To their dismay all the plants had withered. The herbalist devastated by the
07:47turn of events announced that the girls had reviewed a final test. This test would not
07:55only identify the mother of the prince's unborn child but could also heal the prince himself.
08:03All the ladies were instructed to fetch the water of life from the magical river in the heart of the
08:11forest. The water brought by the true mother of the prince's child would have the power to heal him.
08:19Furthermore she would become the princess and the future queen of the village. However those who
08:28failed the test would become slaves to the queen serving her for the rest of their lives
08:35as punishment for their lies and deception. At the mission of this punishment many of the
08:43ladies stepped back confessing that they had lied and that other men in the village had impregnated
08:50them. They were pardoned but they lived the rest of their lives in shame. Only Ronke refused to
08:59step down unable to bear the thought of Falake becoming queen. She had a plan she was willing to
09:07risk it all and so heavily pregnant Falake and Ronke embarked on a journey to fetch the water
09:17of life from the magical river. The world's best friends had become bitter rivals each vying for
09:27the title of the future queen of the land. On their way back Falake exhausted from the journey decided
09:36to take a rest. Ronke seized this opportunity and exchanged the pot of water. She took Falake's water
09:46believing that since she was truly pregnant with the prince's child that her water held the power
09:53to heal the prince. Ronke was confident that she would pass the test having exchanged the water
10:00and Falake would become her slave. When they arrived at the palace the entire village
10:08awaited their return. Their hopes hanging in the balance. Ronke filled with first confidence
10:16went in first present her water to the prince. To her dismay nothing happened. Confused and desperate
10:26she wondered why the water she had exchanged didn't work. It was then Falake's turn
10:36unknown to her that Ronke had exchanged their water. With sincerity and love in her heart she
10:44administered water. Miraculously the prince jacked back to life his eyes fluttering open. It was not
10:55about the water but the person administering it. Falake's genuine connection with the prince
11:04had brought him back from the brink of death. The entire village erupted in joy and celebration.
11:14Falake the poor girl who had never thought herself worthy of the prince was crowned as the princess
11:22and the future queen. Months later she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. The young prince who would
11:30one day inherit the throne. Falake and Prince Jade were married and they lived happily ever after
11:39ruling their kingdom with love and compassion. As for Ronke her deceit and envy had cost her dearly.
11:49She spent the rest of her life as a slave to Queen Falake.
