00:00It has become paramount in discussions as of late, particularly with the rollback on Roe v. Wade,
00:05particularly with the rollback in different states on their abortion laws. Here in Georgia,
00:10we did have a federal judge just overturn that six-week ban. They ruled it unconstitutional,
00:15but that is not the end of it. It is a constant fight. So can you talk to us
00:20about these restrictive abortion laws and what we can do to make sense of it all?
00:25I mean, and as we're talking about each issue, I mean, really it's showing that,
00:30I mean, whether that be climate change or even with reproductive rights,
00:34there really has been a pushback. I mean, even if we're talking about affirmative action
00:39being overturned by the Supreme Court, but I think, well, there's a big impact. I mean,
00:44all of this has an impact and it really impacts people or young girls and women who are
00:52specifically, I guess, the young girls or high school age and young women. And so that really
00:59impacts a lot of people and it's a whole thing. I mean, and my mom talks about this all the time,
01:04but I was born in 2008 and with all the recent pushback, with all the laws that have been passed,
01:11I have less rights now than when I was born in 2008. That just shows how far back that we've
01:20gone with everything. And so it seems that in a place where we're always trying to, I mean,
01:27think about it like a building and a building that's been around for a long time. You're
01:31always trying to maintain the building. You're always trying to add the renovations to it and
01:35add new things to it and expand the building. But it seems like with all these laws and then
01:42even with the new reproductive rights being more restrictive, it seems like we're restricting the
01:49building.
