00:46And you can do this worship before doing any auspicious work.
00:51Like after marriage, when the bride comes home, before marriage or when a child is born in the house.
00:58And on the birthday of the child, you can do the vrat katha of Shri Satyanarayan Ji in any auspicious work.

01:09Chapter 1
01:11Once upon a time, in Naimisharanya Teerth, thousands of sages like Shaunak asked Shri Soota Ji, the great scholar of the Puranas,
01:20that which is the vrat or penance by which one attains the desired results.
01:26All of us want to hear that. Please tell us.
01:30Shri Soota Ji said, Narad Ji had asked the same question.
01:34Whatever Lord Kamalapati had said, all of you listen to it.
01:39With the feeling of gratitude, Yogi Narad came to Mrityulok while travelling to many worlds.
01:46There he saw that people are suffering a lot.
01:50Due to the effects of past actions, many yonis are being born.
01:55Seeing the sad people, Narad started thinking that how to remove the sorrow of these beings.
02:01With the same feeling in mind, Narad Ji reached Vishnulok.
02:05There Narad Ji saw four-armed Satyanarayan, who had kept the conch, wheel, mace and padma in their arms.
02:14And there was a garland around their neck.
02:17Narad Ji thanked them and said,
02:19You have infinite power beyond mind and speech.
02:24Shri Hari, who is free from beginning, middle and end, I bow to you.
02:30Hearing Narad Ji's thanks, Lord Vishnu asked,
02:33O Narad, what is there in your mind? Tell me all that.
02:37Hearing Narad Ji's thanks, Lord Vishnu said,
02:40All the beings of Mrityulok are suffering a lot due to the effects of past actions.
02:49If you are kind to me, then tell me a way to remove the sorrow of these beings.
02:55I want to hear that.
02:57Lord Vishnu said,
02:58O Narad, you are a sadhu. You have asked a good question for the welfare of the people.
03:04I will tell you the vrat which removes the person from attachment.
03:09This vrat is rare in both heaven and Mrityulok.
03:14I give the description of this vrat to your love.
03:17By following the vrat of Satyanarayan, you get immediate happiness and ultimately you get the right of salvation.
03:25Hearing Lord Vishnu's words, Narad Ji said,
03:28Lord, what is the result of this vrat? When and how should it be done? And who has done it?
03:36Lord Vishnu said,
03:37A person can do this vrat of Satyanarayan, which removes sorrows, increases wealth, gives good fortune and children, and gives victory to everyone, with devotion.
03:52In the evening, do dharmarath, with the co-operation of a Brahmin, and worship Lord Satyanarayan with your friends.
04:00Take the best prasad, which is devoutly edible.
04:04This prasad should be made from banana, ghee, milk and wheat flour.
04:09If there is no wheat flour, then mix jaggery instead of rice flour and sugar.
04:15Mix everything and make the prasad. Offer it to Lord Vishnu.
04:19After this, listen to the story, take the prasad, donate it to the Brahmins, and after this, feed the Brahmins with your friends.
04:28After receiving the prasad, do kirtan etc.
04:31And then, remembering Lord Satyanarayan, go to your respective homes.
04:37The wish of such a person will definitely be fulfilled.
04:41In Kali Yuga, this small remedy is especially available on this earth.

05:11Sutra Ji said, O Rishis, I will tell you the history of the one who did this vrat in the first time. Listen carefully.
05:20In the beautiful city of Kashipuri, there used to live a very poor Brahmin.
05:25He used to roam on the earth, hungry and thirsty.
05:29The God who loved the Brahmins, one day, wearing the attire of a Brahmin, went to him and asked,
05:36O Vipra, why do you roam on the earth, always sad?
05:40The poor Brahmin said, I am a poor Brahmin. I roam on the earth for alms.
05:46O God, if you know any remedy for this, please tell me.
05:51The old Brahmin says that Satyanarayan Bhagwan is going to give the desired result.
05:57That's why you worship him.
05:59By doing this, man becomes free from all sorrows.
06:03Satyanarayan Bhagwan came as an old Brahmin.
06:06The poor Brahmin was disillusioned by the whole procedure of the vrat.
06:11The Brahmin started thinking, I will definitely do the vrat which has been told to do by the old Brahmin.
06:18After making this decision, he could not sleep at night.
06:22He woke up in the morning, decided to do the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan and went for alms.
06:28That day, the poor Brahmin got a lot of money in alms.
06:32With the help of his friends, he completed the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan.
06:38After completing the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan, the poor Brahmin got rid of all sorrows.
06:45And he got a lot of wealth.
06:48From that time, the poor Brahmin started doing this vrat every month.
06:52In this way, the person who does the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan,
06:56will get rid of all kinds of sins and attain salvation.
07:01Whoever does this vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan, will get rid of all kinds of sorrows.
07:06Suta ji said, in this way, I have told you the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan,
07:11which has been told to do by Narad ji.
07:14O Vipras, what else can I say?
07:17Rishi said, O Munivar, who else has done this vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan?
07:24We all want to hear this.
07:26For this, there is a feeling of faith in our mind.
07:29Suta ji said, O Munivar, whoever has done this vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan,
07:34listen to everything.
07:35At one time, the same Vipra, according to his wealth and wealth,
07:39got ready to do this vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan with his friends.
07:43At the same time, a wood seller came.
07:46He kept the wood outside and went inside the house of the Brahmin.
07:50The wood seller, who was sad due to thirst,
07:53saw the Brahmin doing the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan,
07:55bowed to the Vipra and asked,
07:57what are you doing?
07:59And what will you get by doing this?
08:01Please tell me too.
08:03The Brahmin said,
08:05This is the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan,
08:07who fulfills all wishes.
08:10By his grace, wealth and wealth have increased in my house.
08:14Knowing about the Satyanarayan vrat from the Vipra,
08:17the wood seller was very happy.
08:20After taking the charnamrit and eating the prasad,
08:23he went back to his house.
08:25The wood seller decided in his mind,
08:27that whatever money I will get by selling wood today,
08:30I will do the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan with that money.
08:34With this thought in mind,
08:36the wood seller kept the wood on his head
08:38and went to sell it in the city where rich people lived.
08:42In that city, he got the price of his wood four times more than before.
08:47The wood seller happily took the price
08:50and went back to his house.
08:52He took banana, sugar, ghee, milk, curd, wheat flour
08:55and other ingredients for the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan.
09:00There, he called his friends
09:02and performed the vrat and worship of Satyanarayan Bhagwan.
09:07Due to the effect of this vrat,
09:09he got rid of his old wood, wealth and children.
09:13All the happiness of the world
09:15went to Vaikuntha Dham in the end.

09:42Sutra Ji said,
09:43O great sages,
09:45now I will tell you the story ahead.
09:47In ancient times, there was a wise king named Ulkamukh.
09:51He was truthful and intelligent.
09:54He used to go to the temples everyday
09:56and used to give money to the poor
09:58and used to get rid of their troubles.
10:00His wife was as beautiful as a lotus
10:03and she was a Sati Sadhvi.
10:05On the banks of the river Bhadrashila,
10:07they both performed the vrat of Shri Satyanarayan Bhagwan.
10:11At the same time, an ascetic named Sadhu came.
10:14He had a lot of money to do business.
10:18Seeing the king performing the vrat,
10:20he asked politely,
10:22O king, what are you doing being full of devotion?
10:27I wish to hear,
10:29so you tell me.
10:31The king said,
10:32O sadhu,
10:33I am performing the vrat of Shri Satyanarayan Bhagwan
10:36for the attainment of my son
10:38along with my friends.
10:43Hearing the king's words,
10:44the sadhu respectfully said,
10:46O king,
10:47tell me the entire procedure of this vrat.
10:49According to you,
10:51I will also perform this vrat.
10:53I also do not have a child.
10:55And by performing this vrat,
10:57I will definitely get a child.
11:00Hearing the entire procedure of the vrat from the king,
11:02being free from business,
11:04he went to his house.
11:06The ascetic told him the description of this vrat
11:08which will give a child to his wife.
11:11And he said,
11:12when I will have a child,
11:14then I will perform this vrat.
11:16The ascetic said such words to his wife Leelavati.
11:20One day, Leelavati became happy with her husband,
11:23and by the grace of Satyanarayan Bhagwan,
11:25she became pregnant.
11:29In the tenth month,
11:31a beautiful girl was born from her womb.
11:34Day by day, she started growing up
11:36like the moon of Venus.
11:39Her parents named their daughter Kalavati.
11:42One day, Leelavati reminded her husband in sweet words,
11:46that the vow of Satyanarayan Bhagwan
11:49which you had decided to perform,
11:51the time has come to perform it.
11:53You perform this vrat.
11:55The ascetic said,
11:57O dear, I will perform this vrat on his marriage.
12:00In this way, he assured his wife
12:03and went to Vainagar.
12:05Kalavati attained maturity
12:07by the grace of Satyanarayan Bhagwan.
12:09Once, the ascetic saw his daughter
12:11with his friends in the city.
12:13He immediately called the messenger
12:15and said,
12:17see to it that you get a suitable groom for my daughter.
12:19Hearing the words of the ascetic,
12:21the messenger reached Kanchanpur Nagar.
12:23Taking care of her,
12:25he brought the suitable son of the girl.
12:27Seeing the suitable boy,
12:29the ascetic called his friends
12:31and got his daughter married.
12:33But unfortunately,
12:35the ascetic still did not perform
12:37the vrat of Satyanarayan Bhagwan.
12:39On this, the Lord became angry
12:41and cursed him
12:43that the ascetic should get a lot of sorrow.
12:45The ascetic became an expert in his work.
12:47He took his son-in-law
12:49and went to Ratnasarpur Nagar
12:51which is situated near the sea.
12:53There, the son-in-law and father-in-law
12:55together started trading
12:57in the city of Chandraketu Raja.
12:59One day, by the grace of Lord Satyanarayan,
13:01two thieves were stealing
13:03the money of the king.
13:05Seeing the soldiers of the king
13:07following them,
13:09they kept the stolen money
13:11where the ascetic was staying
13:13with his son-in-law.
13:15The soldiers of the king
13:17saw the money of the king
13:19near the ascetic,
13:21so they tied the father-in-law and son-in-law
13:23and took them to the king
13:25and said that we have caught
13:27the two thieves,
13:29you give the order for the further work.
13:31The money of the two thieves
13:33was taken away from them.
13:35The wife of the ascetic
13:37was also very sad
13:39because of the curse of Lord Satyanarayan.
13:41The money which was kept in the house
13:43was stolen by the thieves.
13:45She was very sad
13:47due to physical and mental pain
13:49and hunger and thirst.
13:51She went to the house of a Brahmin
13:53in Kalavati.
13:55There, she saw Lord Satyanarayan
13:57fasting and heard the story.
13:59She came back home.
14:01The mother asked Kalavati
14:03that where were you till now?
14:05What is in your mind?
14:07Kalavati said to her mother
14:09that I have seen the fasting
14:11of Lord Satyanarayan
14:13in the house of a Brahmin.
14:15Hearing the promise of the girl,
14:17Leelavati started preparing for the worship.
14:19Leelavati with her family and friends
14:21worshipped Lord Satyanarayan
14:23and asked them
14:25to come home soon.
14:27She also prayed
14:29to Lord Satyanarayan
14:31to forgive all our sins.
14:33Lord Satyanarayan was satisfied
14:35with this fast.
14:37He appeared to King Chandraketu
14:39in his dream and said
14:41O King, leave those two thieves
14:43and return the money
14:45which you have taken from them.
14:47If you don't do this,
14:49I will destroy your money, kingdom
14:51and children.
14:53Saying all this to the king,
14:55both of them meditated.
14:57Early in the morning,
14:59the king told his dream.
15:01Then he said, free the Vanik sons
15:03and bring them to the court.
15:05Both of them came and
15:07bowed to the king.
15:09The king said in a sweet voice
15:11O great people,
15:13you have been fortunate
15:15in such a difficult situation
15:17but now you have no fear.
15:19Saying this, the king gave them
15:21new clothes and returned
15:23Both of them went back to their house.

16:53Unki sharan me jaane se
16:55manwanchit phal milega.
16:57Damad ka kehna maan, vaishya
16:59dandi swami ke paas gaya.
17:01Dandi swami ko pranam kar sadar
17:03bola, jo kuch mene aapse
17:05kaha tha, usse kshama kardein.
17:07Aisa keh ve baad baad na man kar
17:09maha shok se vyakul ho gaya.
17:11Vaishya ko rote dekh
17:13dandi swami ne kaha, mat ro
17:15suno, tum meri puja
17:17ko bhulte ho. Hey kubuddhi
17:19wale, meri aagya se tumhe
17:21baar baar dukh hua hai. Itna
17:23sun vaishya stuti karne laga.
17:25Sadhu bola, prabhu,

18:25ke nikat vaishya apne damaj
18:27se bola, dekho vah meri
18:29ratnapuri hai. Dhan ke rakshak
18:31doodh ko nagar bheja.
18:33Doodh nagar me sadhu vaishya ki
18:35istri se haath jodh kar uchit
18:37vaakya bola. Vaishya damaj
18:39ke saath tatha bahut sa dhan le
18:41sangi saathi ke saath nagar
18:43ke nikat aa gaye hai. Doodh
18:45ke vachan sun leelavati bahut prasann
18:47hui. Bhagwan Satyanarayan
18:49ki pooja poorn kar apni beti
18:51se boli, mai pati ke darshan
18:53ke liye chalti hun, tum jaldi
18:55aao. Apni maa ke vachan sun
18:57putri ne bhi vrat samapt
18:59kiya. Jaldi me prasad lena
19:01chod, apne pati ke darshan
19:03aath chalpadi. Isse Bhagwan
19:05Satyanarayan rusht ho gaye
19:07aur uske pati tatha dhan se ladhi
19:09naav ko jal me duba diya.
19:11Kalavati ne waha apne pati ko
19:13nahi dekha, toh usse bada dukh hua
19:15aur weh roti hui bhoomi par gir
19:17padi. Usne naav ko
19:19doopte hui dekha. Kanya ke
19:21rudan se dara hua sadhu vaishya bola
19:23ki hai kya aschare ho gaya.
19:25Naav ke mallah bhi chinta karne
19:27lage. Ap to leelavati bhi
19:29apni beti ko dukhi dekh vyakul
19:31ho pati se boli, iss samay
19:33naav sahi damaj kaise adrishye
19:35ho gaye hai. Na jaane kis devta
19:37ne naav har li hai. Prabhu
19:39Satyanarayan ki mahima kaun jaan sakta
19:41hai. Itna kahe vaish
19:43swajanon ke saath rohne lagi.
19:45Phir apni beti ko godh me le
19:47vilap karne lagi. Waha beti
19:49Kalavati apne pati ke nahi
19:51rehne par dukhi ho rahi thi.
19:53Vaishya kanya ne pati ki khadaun
19:55lekar mar jane ka vichar kiya.
19:57Stree sahit sadhu vaishya ne
19:59apni beti ka yeh roop dekha.
20:01Dharmatma sadhu vaishya dukh se
20:03bahut vyakul ho chinta karne laga.
20:05Usne kaha ki yeh hai haran
20:07Shree Satyadev ne kiya hai.
20:09Main satya ki maya se mohit hoon.
20:11Sab ko apne paas bula kar
20:13usne kaha ki main sabhi manorathon
20:15ko poond karne wale Bhagwan
20:17Shree Satyanarayan ka apne
20:19vaibhav ke anusaar poojan karunga.
20:21Deeno ka palan karne wale
20:23Bhagwan Satyanarayan ko barambar
20:25pranam karne par Bhagwan
20:27Satyanarayan prasan ho gaye.
20:29Bhakt Vatsal Bhagwan ne
20:31kar pakar yeh hai vachan kahe.
20:33Tumhari beti prasad chhod pati
20:35ko dekhne aaye. Isi karan
20:37uska pati adrishya ho gaya.
20:39Yadi yeh hai ghar jaakar prasad
20:41grihan karke aaye to hey sadhu
20:43ise iska pati mil jayega.
20:45Isme koi sanshe nahi hai.
20:47Sadhu ki beti ne bhi yeh aakashvani suni.
20:49Tatkaal hi weh ghar gayi
20:51aur prasad grihan kiya.
20:53Fir wapas loti to apne pati ko
20:55wahan dekha. Tab usne apne
20:57pita se kaha ki ab ghar chalna
20:59bhiye der kyun kar rahe hain.

21:03vaishya prasan hua aur

22:37vahe apne nagar ko chala gaya.
22:39Jab vahe nagar me pohncha, toh vaha
22:41uske so putra aur dhan dhanya
22:43sab kuch tehas nahas hua paya.
22:45Toh vahe shigri hi samajh gaya
22:47ki yeh sab Bhagwan ne hi kiya hai.
22:49Vahe dobara gwalon ke paas
22:51pohncha aur vidhi purvak
22:53pooja karke prasad khaya.
22:55Shri Satyanarayan Bhagwan ki kripa se
22:57sab kuch pehle jaisa ho gaya.
22:59Dhir kaal tak suk bhogne ke baad
23:01marno parant usse
23:03swarg lok ki prapti hui.
23:05Jo manushe is param durlabh vrat ko karega
