Belichick's and balances!
Kraft said, "I didn't enjoy having to fire him". Thoughts on Kraft's comments?
Transcript
00:00Robert Kraft went on The Breakfast Club yesterday in a continued desire to
00:05rewrite history. Here's how it sounded.
00:08I kept him for 24 years. I don't, yeah, I didn't enjoy having to fire him, but I
00:16tried to do it, if you look at the press conference and how it happened, try to do
00:22it in a classy way. I had given him so much power, he had full control over
00:27everything, and shame on me, I should have had some checks and balances better, but
00:34he had earned that right, but then the results weren't there, and if you're in
00:39the sports business, you know, you win or you lose, there's no gray, and I hate
00:45losing. All evidence to the contrary. There are a few things that are more
00:52disingenuous than telling someone you fired them in a classy way. There has
00:58never been a man or woman in the history of America that has been fired, but like,
01:03you know what? You wrote a really sweet note. Thank you for losing, for having me
01:07lose my job. I listened to that yesterday, and they just don't get it.
01:13The Dynasty series wasn't enough, but in the moment, this seems to be a new
01:19pattern within the Patriots. They tell you something, and then they tell you the
01:24truth later on inadvertently. When they actually had that press conference, we
01:29were told it was not a firing.
