00:00It is unfair to continue linking me with my former political secretary.
00:07Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said this today following a news report claiming that the
00:11Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission was instructed not to investigate Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal
00:17Mubarak.
00:19Bloomberg previously reported that MACC Chief Azam Baghi allegedly told his officers Anwar
00:25instructed the agency not to investigate share purchases involving Farhash.
00:31The Prime Minister's office and MACC have since denied the claims.
00:35Addressing the matter in the Dewan Rakyat, Anwar made it clear that any allegation should
00:40be properly investigated regardless of who is involved.
00:45I believe that Mr. President must know that what he linked is a company that involves
00:51Mr. Sultan, not Farhash.
00:54The contract was signed by the previous government, the government that respects my government.
01:02Anwar said legal action against Bloomberg is being considered and police had summoned
01:07Bloomberg's representatives for questioning regarding the matter.
