00:00If someone asked you, what is 10 to the power of 11, 10 to the power of 33 or 10 to the

00:06power of 44, would you know the answer off the top of your head?

00:11Or did you know that 10 to the power of 100 is known as a googol?

00:16Despite only being 4 years old, Kartikeya Desigan knows the answer to these without

00:22the help of a calculator.

00:24In August, his remarkable ability earned him the Grand Master title from the Asia Book

00:29of Records for identifying the exponential powers of 10 from 10 to the power of 0 to

00:3510 to the power of 100 and recalling 101 number names in 3 minutes and 35 seconds.

00:44In the same month, he was also recognized by Kids World Records for the most exponential

00:50power of 10 number names in the 4 to 6 year old boys division, again with a total of 101

00:57numbers.

00:58Kartikeya recently left the FMT Lifestyle team impressed by his talent.

01:20Kartikeya learnt about exponential powers from watching Wonderland, an animated series

01:44that teaches these numbers in an entertaining manner.

01:48I really think Kartikeya has very good memory power.

01:51So that's why he catches things quickly.

01:53So not only in maths, like I said, he learns how to read very fast.

01:58We don't have to force him or force him to sit down and teach him anything.

02:03You just have to play with him.

02:06At only 20 months old, Kartikeya was recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records for being

02:13the youngest to speak expressive vocabulary and for the most number of expressive vocabulary

02:18in 5 minutes by a toddler.

02:21After his interest in maths was sparked, the inquisitive Kartikeya often had questions

02:27for his parents.

02:28And then every night he touches me like asking me like, can you tell me like what is 20 plus

02:3330?

02:34But we never ignore him.

02:35Like whatever time at night and morning or while I'm driving, he will asking me like

02:40what is 45 plus 45?

02:41Out of nowhere.

02:42But we still will answer him.

02:43So what's next for this young maths whiz?

02:51As a parent, we just wanted to be someone who like, if he has a talent in something,

02:55he has an interest in something, we want to encourage that and boost that and help him

02:58to find a way how to do better in it.

03:01But we will never force him to do anything.

03:05Along the way, if he did something great, amazing, awesome, okay, we would love to

03:11encourage him.

03:12If not, it's still great.

03:13You know, like as long as he's happy with his life, he's a healthy child, he's polite.

03:18Most importantly for me and him, like we want him to be a good human being.
