00:00The issue of human-animal conflicts is becoming more and more common,
00:04especially when there is destruction of the animals' habitats.
00:11So, of course, when they lose their habitats and maybe lack of food.
00:18For example, for the Malayan tiger, one of the problems is the lack of pre-animal with permission.
00:24And this includes diseases that attack wild boars and so on.
00:28So, this forces them to leave their habitats.
00:35So, based on that, the government, the association, and the co-operators,
00:39we have taken steps through an initiative called community rangers.
00:49It started with 1,000 people, 1,500, and now 1,920.
00:55500 are in Sabah Sarawak and the rest are in Semenanjung.
00:59And they consist of the majority of indigenous people
01:03who are very skillful and used to dealing with wildlife.
01:07Next is the local community and also the military and PDRM veterans.
01:13So, we can see that this has succeeded together with the Co-Operation Khazanah,
01:18the Co-Operation Khazanah made with other powers, including the PDRM and NGOs throughout the country.
01:25We can reduce the pressure of poachers.
01:30And between 2021 and July 2024, 431 of our citizens have been arrested.
01:38And 91 foreigners have also been arrested.
01:42And a total of more than 150 million ringgit.
01:46So, we are taking information about how to increase.
01:51So, that's why for us, the EFT, we give money to the state government
01:56and a very significant increase from year to year.
01:59That's one of the initiatives we took.
02:01Indeed, we know that under the law, as I mentioned, it is under the power of the state government.
02:07But we believe in initiatives such as changing the law,
02:12changing the forest record, which requires public inquiry
02:20and also reporting on the forest that can be removed.
02:24This will help reduce the pressure on the habitat.
