00:04the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Pasay City will be held in the center.

00:19Egan, we are here near the Philippine International Convention Center or PICC here in Pasay City

00:26where the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction or APMCDRR will be held starting today.

00:35We are here in the middle of a tropical and safety situation here.

00:43For the first time, the Philippines will host the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction or APMCDRR this year

00:52which will be held starting this Monday in the PICC here in Pasay City.

00:57It is expected that 4,000 high-level international and local delegates from 68 countries will gather

01:04to strengthen the cooperation in disaster resilience and risk reduction in the region.

01:09The APMCDRR will focus on building practical solutions

01:14and promoting the inclusive disaster risk governance of countries in the Asia and Pacific region.

01:20In order to give way to the so-called international conference,

01:23Malacanang suspended all government work and classes in Manila and Pasay City from today until tomorrow.

01:30The NCR Police Office held a gun ban in Metro Manila until Friday.

01:35Meanwhile, people deployed by the Bureau of Fire Protection and SWATs in some parts of Pasay City near the PICC.

01:42Some firetrucks have also been deployed.

01:50According to the Manila Police District,

01:52the number of police personnel deployed for the duration of the APMCDRR is estimated to be 450.

02:02That is part of the 1,600 police personnel of the NCRPO who are on duty for the conference.

02:11Meanwhile, at these points, there is a wide road in front of the PICC here in Pasay City.
