00:00Team or exciting matchup you kind of already touched on them. It was Texas
00:07versus Oklahoma or the Red River rivalry? I don't know. Somebody got to stick a
00:11flag in the ground at the end of this game and somebody got to walk away with
00:14a trophy. That's somebody being Texas who continues to roll and show that you do
00:18not mess with Texas. 34 to 3. When this game opened up it seems like the Sooners
00:24were gonna apply a lot of pressure. They had their foot on Texas's neck and it
00:28seemed like it was their game for the taking. But we're talking about like the
00:31first eight minutes of the quarter. They weren't able to commit and convert that
00:34first field goal. Then they end up getting the ball back again finally
00:37finding the field goal leading by three points. But one thing I've noticed with
00:41Texas it's like they play with their food in the first quarter. Second quarter
00:45they kind of start to show their team their opponent what they're actually
00:47capable of. That second half is complete takeoff for this Texas team. They did it
00:51versus Colorado State week one. It was kind of the script I thought they were
00:54gonna match today and that's basically what happened. Although they came in
00:57live and hot in the second quarter putting up 21 points and it was the
01:01return of Quinures who that first quarter didn't very much look himself
01:04but they brilliantly had more of a balanced attack. They used their run game
01:08a lot more. Wiesner closing out the day with 118 yards on the ground. What do you
01:14expect out of this guy? Can he jump back in the Heisman conversation because 199
01:18passing yards, one touchdown, one interception upon return isn't
01:21particularly terrible. No sluggish start and I guess that was symbolic from what
01:27we saw there in the first quarter. I was sitting back saying where's Arch Manning?
01:30Why did we not stick with Arch as starting quarterback? The Longhorns came
01:34into this one with a lot of expectation. Number one team in the nation. Go
01:38scoreless there through the first. They put up 21 to nothing in that second
01:42quarter. So they firmly I guess got a grasp of it and then they absolutely
01:46look like the best team in the country as we got through that second half. But
01:50for Oklahoma, Bumasuna, I mean they were banged up. Five wide receivers were set
01:55to miss this one. So a lot of injuries. It was tough for them once it was all
01:58said and done. But for Texas, they were tested early. They prevailed. The class
02:02ultimately came to the top there late and for Quinures, this is expected. It's
02:06gonna take a couple of games to get things going in the right direction. That
02:10chemistry, that cohesion. But Steve Sarkeesian has told us this is the guy.
02:14This is the guy to give him the best chance of winning that national
02:17championship. We absolutely saw why. So for Quinures, once you get a bit of
02:20fitness, a bit of confidence going back in the right direction. What a, you know,
02:24what a spoil of riches it really is there for the Longhorns over in Austin.
02:29To have Quinures and then have Arch Manning one-two punch if you really need
02:33it once it's all said and done. But I thought it was a really strong return
02:36and a classy victory there. 34 to 33 in a rivalry spot where there's always a
02:41bit of extra juice on the line.
02:47you
