Trivisa is a 2016 Hong Kong action crime thriller film produced by Johnnie To Kei-fung (杜琪峯) and Yau Nai-hoi (游乃海), featuring the directorial debuts of newcomers Frank Hui Hok-man (許學文), Jevons Au Man-kit (歐文傑) and Vicky Wong Wai-kit (黃偉傑). The film is a fictionalized story about three real-life notorious Hong Kong mobsters, Kwai Ping-hung (季炳雄), Yip Kai-foon (葉繼歡) and Cheung Tze-keung (張子強), who are portrayed in the film by Gordon Lam Ka-tung (林家棟), Richie Jen Hsien-chi (任賢齊) and Jordan Chan Siu-chun (陳小春) respectively. In Buddhist teaching, Trivisa is the Sanskrit term for the three poisons (or the three unwholesome roots) - greed, anger and delusion - that give rise to suffering.
The film had its world premiere at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival's Forum section. The film also opened the 40th Hong Kong International Film Festival on 21 March 2016 and was theatrically released in Hong Kong on 7 April 2016.
Rumours force three powerful mobsters, who have never met one another, to join forces and pull off a big mission before the handover of Hong Kong.
