Gen-Y Cops is a 2000 Hong Kong science fiction action film directed by Benny Chan Muk-sing (陈木胜). The film stars Edison Chen Koon-hei (陳冠希) as Edison, Stephen Fung Chun-choi (馮德倫) as Match Yeung and Sam Lee Chan-sam (李灿森) as Alien Lee. The film is a sequel to the 1999 film 特警新人類 Gen-X Cops.
Gen-Y cops centers around a weapons expo-taking place in Hong Kong. The FBI has brought a Robot titled as RS-1 to represent America, however, the creator of RS-1, Kurt (孫國豪 Richard Sun Guo Hao), angered that his design was stolen, uses his friend Edison through hypnosis to steal RS-1. The two remaining Gen-X cops are now also on the run because the FBI thinks that they are in with Kurt and Edison to steal and sell RS-1 to a foreign group. Match and Alien go on an action packed journey to clear their names and eventually Edison’s as well.
