Jusqu'ici seul homme dans l'histoire du cyclisme à avoir remporté quatre fois d'affilée le même Monument, en l'occurrence le Tour de Lombardie (1946, 1947, 1948 et 1949), l'Italien a été rejoint ce samedi par Tadej Pogacar, qui s'est offert son quatrième Il Lombardia consécutif ! Bouclant ainsi de la plus belle des manières une saison 2024 prodigieuse et historique, le champion du monde s'est imposé en solitaire à Côme après s'être isolé dans l'ascension de la Colma del Sormano, à 48,5 kilomètres de l'arrivée. Comme très souvent cette année, une seule attaque lui aura suffi pour planter tous ses aversaires...
