00:17Paris Olympics double gold medalist Carlos Yulo and a Filipino fast food chain held the ceremonial turnover on Monday of 5 million pesos worth of athletic equipment for the National Academy of Sports.
00:34This is the first time that a private company has given a donation to the National Academy of Sports that continues to attract world-class Filipino athletes.
00:44It's a big help to those who are dreaming, especially in the province because the facilities are all in Manila.
00:55That's why I'm super happy and proud at the same time that there's something like this that can support the youth who are dreaming like me.
01:09Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara and NAS Executive Director Professor Josephine Joy Reyes also attended the ceremony.
01:17Both of them thanked the support of the fast food company.
01:21The development of facilities here is fast. We know that it's a challenge to fund different facilities.
01:28Sometimes, sports get caught. But we can see that, increasingly, in the last decade, sports are getting funded.
01:35Your donation and support to NAS will undoubtedly transform the training and competitive experience of our student-athletes.
