Senator Joel Villanueva threatened to “defer” the budget of various agencies due to the alleged incompetence of their representatives during the course of the Senate’s probe into illegal POGO and the prior escape of Alice Guo.
“And I’m just so pissed that every time we invite somebody from the government, whether it’s a bureau, or a department, an agency—mag-aral naman kayo kapag pupunta kayo dito,” said Villanueva.
“I’m just not happy the way we’re being treated by these agencies. Akala n’yo—alam n’yong totoong mapagpasensya kami; mababait itong mga senador. Pero hindi kami tanga para lokohin n’yo at paliguy-liguyin ninyo,” he added.
