Joel Chua said that a request from Vice President Sara Duterte to jog within the House of Representatives triggered an emergency meeting among congressmen that ultimately led to lawyer Zuleika Lopez's transfer order.

00:00We had a concern. The members of our committee requested a Zoom special meeting with our committee.
00:12The members of the committee were alarmed by the requests of our Vice President.
00:24We received two letters.
00:26The first letter came from Congressman Pulong Duterte
00:33where he informed the committee that the Vice President is allowing him to stay in his vicinity.
00:45The second letter came from our Vice President
00:52where he allowed him to jog in the vicinity of the House of Representatives.
01:00We submitted these two letters to our members through Viber.
01:07Our members told us that this is not in our jurisdiction.
01:24So we decided to refer this to the Sgt. at Arms.
01:32We referred this letter to the Sgt. at Arms.
01:36After a while, we received a call from our members and concerns
01:44because there are people posting on Facebook about these letters.
01:53Our members were alarmed so they requested a Zoom meeting.
01:58We had a special session last night through Zoom.
02:03We discussed security risks not only of the House of Representatives but also of our Vice President.
02:19That's why our members decided to transfer this to a facility with more capacity and security
02:29so that it can be secured.
02:32We know that if the Vice President is there, our security will be reduced.
02:40This will affect our Vice President and our outposts will lose security.
02:49That's why the decision was made unanimously.
02:56That's why the committee made this decision and we issued an order.
