00:19thinking about if not about Kendrick he's thinking about how some other
00:24people people that he considered friends have treated I think it's more that
00:28since all I think it's more than right here's what he said Saturday night in
00:32Toronto you're gonna come to a point in life where people you thought were
00:37friends or people you thought were close to you they might switch up they might
00:44try and move funny with you they might stab you in the back they might do a lot
00:48of things to you you'll come to that realization wherever you're at in life
00:52you've probably been there and you'll be there again that's how life is but look
00:55sometimes it's you and you alone by yourself I have two reactions to that
00:59one is feelings huh then it's absolutely that that's actually my second point my
01:04first point is that's the way Hollywood works I gotta tell you this is a city
01:10where people are very an industry where you know all of a sudden you think
01:17somebody you're really good friends with if things turn sideways at all for you
01:21they abandoned you and that doesn't happen with everybody but it happens
01:25through but I think he's a lot in this town the standpoint of being an artist
01:29being a rapper who you do tend to see loyalty in hip-hop right that people
01:35stick with the people that they're with and he feels like people have turned
01:39their backs on him and he probably feels that way because Drake has never been in
01:42a situation like this where a whole industry has basically turned their
01:46backs on him he's never been in the boat where he was the one and that wasn't
01:50the king of the beef he wasn't you know getting the short end of the stick but
01:55this year has just really been a tough year for Drake there's jokes about him
01:59every which way we turn we've seen some of his friends like LeBron James who he
02:03has unfollowed Rick Ross unfollowed DeMar DeRozan unfollowed who were you
02:08know connecting themselves with Kendrick Lamar at a point in time when
02:11this beef was really ramped up so Drake is just taking L's he's got friends that
02:15are turning their backs on him he's been turned into a but if that's true then
02:19you're wrong about the hip-hop thing that they're just like everybody else in
02:21Hollywood yeah but I think that he thought that they would be but yeah
02:26you're right he's never been in this situation so this is a learn a learning
02:29curve for him he's been in the game for a very long time when you were the top

02:40of the things I really dislike about the entertainment industry because it is

02:50rap battle with Kendrick Lamar is a stark reminder for Drake that the rap
02:55world is essentially like Game of Thrones and and when you're the king and
02:58some people may consider you an unjust king a flawed king they're gonna be
03:03allies ready to betray you and enemies ready to gang up on you in an instant
03:09see this is essentially a man now coming to terms with the fact that he's on an
03:13island and I for one I'm very fascinated to see how he responds to

03:24countrymen lend me your ear we have come to bury Caesar not to praise the evil
03:29that men do live after that is the good often hair it in their bones so be it

03:39I hope that Kendrick kind of gives Drake a break and does not perform not like us
03:43at the Super Bowl because that'll be 2025 that's not gonna happen okay
