00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos hailed today's PH Korea Business Forum as not just a partnership
00:06to spur economic development for both nations, but a deeper connection which cements their
00:12time-tested bonds that date all the way back to when Filipino and Korean soldiers dug themselves
00:18in and side-by-side in the trenches and foxholes to protect South Korea's democracy.
00:25Our Joshua Garcia hashes over the details of today's business forum on the anniversary
00:30of their friendly relations that just turned diamond.
00:36The diplomatic relations between the Philippines and South Korea has grown even stronger, particularly
00:42in their business ties.
00:43In today's Philippine-Korea Business Forum, where South Korea President Yun Suk-kyo was
00:47in attendance, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. proudly presented to Korean businessmen
00:53the stable economy of the country.
00:55This coincides with the ratified Philippines-Korea Free Trade Agreement, a step toward boosting

01:04The recently ratified Philippines-Korea Free Trade Agreement elevates our relations by
01:10reducing or eliminating tariffs on key products such as agricultural goods, electronics, and
01:19automotive components.
01:21According to the chief executive, more than just a business partnership, what truly enriches
01:26this relationship between the two countries is the connection between their people, united
01:30by shared purpose, determination, and solidarity.
01:34This is the essence of true partnership, the ability to support one another as we ascend
01:41toward our shared goals, moving forward together with resolve, resilience, and the spirit of
01:48camaraderie.
01:49Aside from the Federation of Korean Industries, President Marcos, Jr. also recognized the
01:53Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, or PCCI, the Department of Trade and Industry,
01:58the Department of Agriculture, and other government agencies and the private sector for their
02:02significant role in cooperation that will help develop the economy of both countries.
02:07Each of you, 12 Philippine and 12 Korean companies and organizations, bring a wealth of experience
02:15and expertise.
02:17Your presence symbolizes the cooperation that propels us towards a shared success.
02:22Together, let history record that this was the moment when our two nations embarked upon
02:29a journey of unprecedented growth and prosperity.
02:33Finally, the President expressed his gratitude for everyone's participation in hopes the
02:38country will achieve progress alongside South Korea in the years to come.
